Install Tekkit 2

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (Tekkit 2) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select Tekkit 2 from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

Great modpack! But noticed an issue when trying to make teleport pipes, they don't show up on the JEI? but can find them in singleplayer creative menu, any tips?

Unfortunately they were hidden due to issues. If any developer would be able to continue support for the mod, I'd be happy to reenable them :)

Love the mod pack! Brings back the old memories of the original Tekkit! Just wondering if ChickenChunks might possible be installed in the future? I have seen there is a config for the server but it doesn't have the jar installed for it. Not a proble if not, brings me way back! Love the pack so far!

Worldspikes are used as chunk loaders in Tekkit 2 :)

There is any reason why the logistic pipes doesnt work with industrial craft machines? they never supply items to them even where there are providers on the same network, it work with other chests or mods but not between logistics and IC

I feel like this is just a clone of Tekkit, instead of a second edition of it? Tech mods have expanded INSANELY since the original and this iconic pack should feature some while obviously keeping the same aspect. AE2 adds excessive world generation but Refined Storage doesn't and keeps in the vibe for example. Considering there isn't a good way to store things I feel its almost vital to have something like this in a tech pack in the current age. And Thermal Series? That was a massive part of the first pack yet its not included? Its expanded so much since the original and it would be cool to show those new things instead of removing it because its not the same as it used to be. I just think this pack could be so much more than a copy of the original with things missing from it. Anyway, the pack IS really cool still and great to relive memories from almost 10 years ago!

Hey, thanks for the feedback! I think there's some confusion with the Tekkit name, as this is a sequel that strives to capture the feeling of the original release (as you can read in description), which didn't contain mods like the Thermal series, etc. Either way, sequels can take different directions, one could say that Tekkit is simply about the latest tech mods, but again the goal of this sequel was to stay true to the original experience from 2012. I'd disagree calling it a "clone" as there are a lot of new improvements, additions and differences to the original Tekkit, such as quality of life changes and new late game content from IC2. Regarding item storage, there are good & useful ways to store items, with mods such as Logistics Pipes. I hope you enjoy it :)

The lack of Thermal series mods and Mekanizm do really feels like something significant is missing, especially in a tech based mod. Why not add them?

Anyone know if Carpenter Blocks will be added back into this? kind of feels wrong using normal doors in tekkit (link for reference; https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/blockcraftery, or even the OG https://www.carpentersblocks.com/downloads.html although its been on hold for a very long time..)

something in the modpack is creating immense server lag and i havent gotten any help in the discord, i wish i could run this server but nothing i do can fix it.

Hi! I was just wondering why didn’t you use industrial craft 2, I was really excited to have some nuclear power generation system, however, the one from nuclear craft classic is pretty bad.

IC2 Classic is the more true-to-the-original version for Minecraft 1.12.2.

You can use Flux Generators to convert EU to RF energy to power quarries and such!

Please help! Update released and now It says the mods are running on the wrong versions for the server I play on, how can I fix this???

You need to make sure both the client and the server are on the same version. If you want, you can revert the client's version in the launcher settings

I am having an issue if I use Project Red frames they sometimes just randomly dissapear. Its weird because I didn't have this issue on my own modpack with the same version of the mod and the same forge version.

Just wondering if anyone can help as ive had no luck on the Sphax forums, resource pack is installed correctly with the patch placed above it in the load order and ive added some of the other mods that were missing from the textures and everything works other than water and Binnies botany, was wondering if anyone could help because all the textures are inside the files in the correct places but refuse to load for some reason. Using 128x and everything is for 1.12.2

Is there anyway to use server pluggins? Bukkit seems to not work with mods very well lol.
