Some laptops can't handle games on it unless you have gaming laptop. Modded minecraft lags even more on laptop than stationary computers

Its actually super easy to setup a server with the blightfall map, as long as you arent having a ton of people playing at once. The problem with using a non-blightfall map is that it breaks a lot of the quest progression and without the quests its very hard to get certain things from the supplier. Though, without the map you also have greater access to ores since the distribution is different. If i was you and wanted to play blightfall multiplayer id throw up a server for yourself and friends.

people who have added those mods to the pack usually crash the pack, those that get it to work don't show significant improvement.

I put both in manually and both work fine with a performance boost. (Fastcraft improved server performance significantly)

Servers are hard to find due to the small size of the blightfall map and the fact that once its cleansed there isnt much more to do. I recomend starting one up for yourself and friends.

This is a challenge pack, it isnt meant for you to easily make it easy. If you cant handle a challenge pack without taking out the challenge, a challenge pack isnt for you.

Missing waypoints would be an issue with the files of the minimap mod, so I would look into those to make sure the world names match, necause ive started new worlds with the name of an older world and gotten old waypoints to come back from deleted worlds, so it's tied to the world name or folder name. Teleports are handled by custom Npcs so I would look into that mod's files for that issue, and the questbook I honestly have no idea. That's my two cents on this, hope it helps you.

First, make sure you have at least 2 gigs allotted to your technic launcher. There should be a little gear icon towards the top right corner where you can check. It's in the Java Settings tab. Next, wait it out. Start it up, and just let it sit there at the black screen for a while. If it's still doing nothing after about five minutes, go make a snack or something. Just have patience. It shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes. After the first few times I doubt the problem will persist, but if it does. look for a new solution.

also make sure you are using java 64.

people have been doing lets plays of this long enough without asking for permission, not sure you need to, but it never hurts

I don't recommend Let's playing Blightfall. It takes stupid amounts of time to do some stuff, especially preparing for Infusions in Thaumcraft. You also have to think about the time it takes to clean the whole continent. We are doing it in a team of 2, and we've been playing for about 150 hours now (if not more) and we haven't got one single gold medal. And most of the time was just boring preparations for Infusions. So it's not the best modpack to let's play. It might be nice to play it, but imagine watching a guy just standing before an oven, waiting for the essentia to slowly flow in. The only way of Let's playing this without boreing your viewers is to cut out the boring parts.
