Install Hexxit II

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (Hexxit II) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select Hexxit II from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

Update 1.5 is here!
This is the real deal - The world of Hexxit has been reworked, with new bosses, new mobs, new loot...

Let's go!
• Twilight Forest final boss - The Twilight Wroughtnaut. Final ending, advancement, and some new surprises throughout the progression. Good luck!
• Remember the Mystic Shrubs, from 2013's Hexxit? Magic Mirror? Boomerang? Bomb Flowers? The list goes on. They are all custom ported to Hexxit II!
• Added Fish's Undead Rising, with new backported content. Many new mobs, new pets, new challenges, and a new boss - the Skeleton King. Once again, good luck.
• Reworked Mo' Creatures, with Mo' Creatures Extended - featuring reworked mob spawning, and new mobs, including a pesky lizard that keeps stealing my loot...
• Added Beast Slayer, with many new mobs to the Hexxit world. Explore unique biomes to find them, and also in... a haunted circus?
• Overhauled Asgard Shield: Reloaded, with new shield mechanics, and new giant swords, including the Ender Giant Sword!
• Some tweak highlights: Reworked some of Hexxit Gear's features to match or improve upon the original release. Reworked Lumen's fireflies for the world of Hexxit. Reworked the Recall enchantment to counter the Sticky effect from Infernal Mobs. Made Battle Towers no longer able to destroy graves. Nerfed the Vorpal enchantment. Tweaked the Golden Feather and Electric Staff to behave more like the original release. Included the (unreleased!) remastered Twilight Forest soundtrack (thank you Rotch Gwylt!)
• Added in total 18 mods, including Wolf Armor and Storage (for your pets), Mowzie's Mobs (starring in the Twilight Forest), Fluidlogged API (backports waterlogging), Snow! Real Magic! (adding snowlogging features), Equipment Compare, and more - the rest are for you to find.
• Updated 29 mods to their latest versions, including fixes to reported bugs and other small improvements.
• Removed 10 mods that are no longer useful, including Custom Mob Spawner which used to cause spawning issues, thanks to the new edition of Mo' Creatures that no longer relies on it.

And many, many other smaller tweaks and changes, aiming to make Hexxit II more on par with and better than Hexxit 2013 in every way.
This update was worked on for many months, and in cooperation with developer ACGaming and as of recently Icarus, both being true Hexxit fans. We hope you all enjoy it :)

Maintenance update!

Changes:
• Added Universal Tweaks (which contains many small tweaks and fixes to the game), and Startup Timer (which will estimate time in the loading screen).
• Updated 12 mods to their latest versions, with useful fixes and improvements.
• Changed and fixed some configuration files, most notably: resolved some issues that prevented some mobs from spawning in singleplayer worlds, significantly nerfed the Last Stand enchantment (now costing more XP), added new world generation structures, added a rare bounty reward, and other smaller changes.
• Removed some superseded mods due to the addition of Universal Tweaks.

The update is now available under Latest Version in the launcher and hopefully soon will be available for everyone using the Recommended Version. Also a quick tip - if you're using the Sphax resource pack, make sure to update it!

Truly polishing the modpack!

Changes:
• Added VoxelMapFixes by ACGaming which includes various fixes and improvements to VoxelMap. This should prevent some crashes, improve performance and drastically lower RAM usage - especially when using a resource pack. Also added Hesperus, which is a fork of Phosphor that has Dynamic Lights compatibility - this will improve world generation performance.
• Replaced OAuth for ReAuth which is working better, and also updated to a patched version of Soul Shards Respawn by ACGaming, and an updated version of Mouse Tweaks by CleanroomMC.
• Updated 9 other mods to their latest versions - some of these updates include useful improvements & fixes.
• Minor configuration changes which include improvements & fixes to reported issues.

⚠ Important update ahead!

Changes:
• Added the Battle Tower Fixes mod by ACGaming56, which fixes a severe bug in Battle Towers preventing custom loot generation in multiple dungeons in the modpack.
• Added Entity Desync Fix, to prevent some desyncing issues on servers, and also added the Chicken ASM library mod to be included by default in the modpack (instead of downloaded separately).
• Updated 5 mods to their latest versions.
• Some minor configuration changes, including changing the default server difficulty from Easy to Normal.

Big update time. Mods were added. Mods were removed. We're not kidding around here!

Changes:
• Added 6 new mods! Added LoliASM (bug & crash fixes and general optimizations alongside many memory optimizations - only 2GB of RAM is required now!), Aqua Acrobatics (Properly implemented swimming, bubble columns and more), Had Enough Items (JEI fork with further optimizations), Fix Experience Bug (fixes bugs with interdimensional travel), Tinkers OreDict Cache (improves load speed) & Just Enough Throwing In Fluids.
• Removed VanillaFix (for LoliASM), Idō, Obfuscate & Clarity (for Aqua Acrobatics), JEI (for Had Enough Items), and Mixin Bootstrap (not needed due MixinBooter).
• Updated 8 mods to their latest versions, some of them include very important bug fixes!
• A couple of config & script changes for more balance, including increasing CQR dungeon generation rate.

New update is here! This is a minor yet useful update to keep the modpack up to date.

• Replaced the ReAuth mod with OAuth, in order to support in-game login (in the Multiplayer menu) using Microsoft accounts.

• Slightly lowered the mob spawn rates in Nether Fortresses.

Hotfix update! This update fixes an incompatibility which caused issues when going between dimensions (including Dimensional Doors).

Version 1.3.0

A major update is here everyone, get ready! This update focuses on addressing multiple reported issues, whilst also offering some new gameplay changes. Reading the changelog is highly recommended!

Changes:
• Changed Hexxit Gear to a custom fork by phantamanta44, with an extremely important fix to a bug causing armor sets to reduce all incoming damage by >91% (instead of only magic damage reduction for the Sage set). This makes Hexxit Gear sets balanced again as intended, with protection levels equivalent to diamond plus the set bonuses & abilities.
• The new Hexxit Gear fork also includes changes to the set bonuses of each type of armor, in order to make each type useful in different situations (try to master the Thief set's wall jumping!). There are also new tooltips on the items with the relevant information.
• Fixed the Mac incompatibility by including the latest version of Chocolate Quest Repoured.
• Added Smooth Scrolling Everywhere, for a better scrolling experience in game menus, and also added Reach Fix which fixes some entity hit detection issues.
• A few config changes & fixes, such as enabling the Capsule mod's Recall enchantment on weapons (to counter mobs which drop your weapon!).
• Updated Forge, and 12 mods to their latest versions - these updates include some new features, such as nicer Bountiful boards & new dungeons, and many fixes (apart from Mac compatibility), such as working Mo' Creatures water mobs on servers and working Fairy Lights on fences!

That's it! Or at least, most of the important changes covered.

This update includes the latest Forge version, which addresses the recently found security vulnerability in Minecraft.
Please update your clients & servers right away!

Changes:
• Updated Forge to version 14.23.5.2859.

* Please note that this version (as well as v1.2.0) is still incompatible with most Macs due to an issue with Chocolate Quest Repoured's latest version.
Mac players using v1.1.0 should only connect to trusted servers (as there's no current launcher sided fix). Those servers need to follow Mojang's instructions for MC 1.12-1.16.5 found over https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/article/important-message--security-vulnerability-java-edition.

Big update time, yet again! Many bugs fixed and some interesting new features; did you ever want to go adventuring with your base in your pocket?

Changes:
• Added the Capsules mod, which allows you to do exactly that. Making a comeback from the first Hexxit, Capsules are back and you should use them!
• Major update to Chocolate Quest Repoured! You can expect to find some new dungeons, and a new boss - the Exterminator. Good luck.
(This update also includes many fixes to issues such as Cloud Boots fall damage, interdimensional Teleport Stone & Musket glitchs)
• Added HT's TreeChop mod (& removed Treecapitator). Punch a tree to see more. Also no more big tree issues.
• Slightly nerfed Hexxit Gear's Scale Armor.
• Many config changes & tweaks, such as spawn rate changes, meteor gear enchanting, and more.
• Updated 13 mods, which include many fixes, such as (finally) working Fairy Lights, non-glitched Battle Tower server Golem, and more.

* Please note that this update is incompatible with most Macs due to an issue with Chocolate Quest Repoured's most recent update. For now, use v1.1.0. This should be resolved in a later update.

This is a big one - the main goal of this update is to fix issues you hopefully never noticed before. Also to add squids!

Changes:
• Added HaxyMoCreaturesModAdder (& MixinBooter), a patch mod made by Clienthax in order to fix major incompatibility issues of Mo' Creatures' Custom Mob Spawner with other mods, causing many entities not to spawn in modded biomes. This also fixes Dimensional Doors' Monoliths.
• Updated Hexxit World by Phanta, with a new Heart Container recipe, JER integration and other improvements.
• Added crafting recipes for Chocolate Quest Repoured's bullets.
• Many config changes, including spawn rate tweaks, Infernal Mobs' Choke nerf, & easier viewing of backpack recipes.
