I've run into an issue since I moved it (1.2.1.0) to a stand-alone server, though, using the server download.
The logs/GregTech.log grows very quickly - it's spamming about 6MB of log per second at this point. It boils down to what (I think) is an exception being thrown (probably) every tick for every active meta fluid pipe: It's throwing a classNotFound for EntityPlayerMP.
I'm far from an expert in modpacks, but it sounds like there might be a mod in the server pack which is intended for client side and doesn't know what to do with being server-only. That sound right?
Anyway, the workaround right now is for me to remove my first oil pumping station, which has lots of pipe and is probably the source of most of the noise.
Any insight would be appreciated.
(Running on CreeperHost, Java 1.8.0_102-b14, Used the 1.2.1.0 "Server Download" package)

The dreaded self-reply for precision: The first two lines are "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/minecraft/client/entity/EntityClientPlayerMP
at gregtech.api.metatileentity.implementations.GT_MetaPipeEntity_Fluid.onPostTick(GT_MetaPipeEntity_Fluid.java:271)" (there are 15 lines total)
So I've played around with my world a bit, and monitored the GregTech.log file. It's definitely the meta fluid pipes which are causing the log entries. I tried looking into the source, but I can't figure out where gretech 5.09.26.21 comes from - it seems to differ from the various branches of the Git repo. I'd guess that a particle or sound effect is being attempted on the server side.
Is fixed in the next release.
IT wont let me apply for whitelist on any server is this intentional?

Yes the server is full atm. Try to join on Dirthuts, Stonelegion or Prospercraft Server.
Very nice, high-quality modpack overall. It's however much more difficult than what we're all used to, so it's not for everyone. If you're up for a challenge, you won't regret installing this, but I can guarantee you're gonna suffer... a lot. One of the advantages is that the questbook will guide you through your journey, so instead of having to browse wikis all the time, you'll learn as you play and get rewarded for it. Very nice experience, but it's not for everyone.

I have problem with questbook, it resets everytime I load my save. I'm using 1.2.0.0 version of GTNH

Try to using 1.2.1.0. Quests normaly nor resetted when you not do it via command. try to relod your Quests. use ingame /bq_admin default load
i updated to 1.2.1.0 and now pack doesn't even start
Need a fml log to look at it.
Why I can't destroy any block on my server on creative or survival mode? I can destroy a block only when I have the op :/

Maybe you are not set as a Builder.

I just have one very anoying problem. The questbook resets, so i have to redo the quests.. Can i do something, so it wont reset?

Why reset the Quest Book. Did you play sp or mp?
Normaly the Quest data is saved in your save game folder.
What version of GTNH you are using?

I don't. All recipes are Thaumcraft recipes in the Thaumcraft Book. Needs to research first. Are on the GTNH Page.

and this is 1.1.0.4 version. and on client side there is no morp. mod and journey map is other version
Are you sure you make all configs for the Server. Did you run the Thermos file or just only forge?

Is auto-repair\moss on TiCon tools only available through lvlup gamble? Can't seem to be able to craft TiCon moss.
How do i get Maple Syrup? NEI shows nothing on how to get it.
And GT Electric Blast Furnace, where does the Circuit goes? The Config. 1 one, which should force EFB to cut energy and time requirements in half. I've tried putting it control block and into the input bus but it keeps ignoring it and oxygen and keeps on wasting heckton of fuel instead. Any ideas?

1. Moss can be researched in Thaumcraft GTNH Page.
2. Mapel Trees are very rare you can get syrup from this trees.
3. Circuits not consumed in the process in the ebf. Maybe the EBF is brocken in this version but with the new update it is fixed and works flawless.
Thanks. I know the EBF doesn't consume circuit, i meant where am i supposed to put it to make EBF use oxygen gas. Putting circuit into the input bus together with dust or into the upper right slot in control block both don't work, and there's nowhere else to put it. It just sits with 16000 Oxygen Gas and ignores it. Technically that should mean i can't use Wrought Iron>Steel recipe either, haven't checked yet though.
Oh and yeah, i'll relocate to forums with my questions later then
Welp, i've rechecked and it does work as intended BUT only when i put dusts in the left slot and circuit in the right, which is comically bad. Is this how GT supposed to work or some hiccup?
Also, i can't seem to find Tantalum ore in the google sheet you've posted, only Tantalite but i can't electrolyze it yet and i need tantalum rods to progress to EIO
Next release EBF is fixed.
Its right you can only find Tantalite. Its needs mv so not to bad to get.

And one more question. I've done plenty of mining but i can't see TC infused ore anywhere, it's apparently disabled in the config and i haven't seen it so far in TF either, how and where does it generates? Doesn't seem like it's usually supposed to, so in large veins rarely again?

TC Ores are now GT Ores and placed in The Twilight Forest like all TC stuff.
Thanks man, is there a nifty table to see at what height infused ores spawn? It's apparently one of the "custom" in GT configs so i can't really figure out where to look without help

Ok try to hit /bq_admin default load to load the Quests at start.
In the Server.properties you can set Worldtype to rwg.
level-type=RWG
i used the bq_admin command, but its still now working
are you have the Quest file in your config folder and in your Save folder?
If you are running the server on offline mode, Quests dont work. It is a BetterQuesting or BetterQuesting Book bug.
Why you run the Server offline. Are you try to let people join without a legal Minecraft Account?
Yes. I have friends that only play minecraft eventually and they did not buy the game and I found this problem.

Minecraft is not so expensive. Mod devs do a lot of time to create amazing mods and stuff so my advice is buy the game and support the Minecraft community. I do a lot of work to make this pack like it is now and I don't like to see people using mc this cheaty way.

If somebody ask you that they have problem with quests on private server, It can be because they are running on offline mode. I only want save your time with question like this :D

Aight i'm utterly lost on Aluminium stage. Clearly i should be able to make it somehow since all i have is Quest Book shoving my face into screws\plates and the only way to make anything Alu is probably Electric Blast Furnace, (at least it's unspecified voltage while everything else is clearly MV+ or needs gasses and stuff i can't produce) but the i'm not directed into that machine by the book neither it registers parts i've made so apparently i'm not supposed to make it yet either.
What do i even do?

Yes Aluminum from Gregtech can be only made in the Electric Blast Furnace from GT. It is possible mid LV Age. Aluminium have two recipes some with Gas and some without.
About Quests you have to look if the stuff have to be crafted or only retrieval.
Yeah, probably got gated by something without any indication and now it demands i craft heatproof casings and coils again because it doesn't care that crafted them earlier. I mean, man, is there really any need for those "craft at this specific time under the blood moon or redo everything from scratch again" quests? Just make them detect needed things in inventory and that's it.
Anyway, another problem is "Circuitry is burnt" in maintenance hatch. had to check Wiki and is says it needs tin\lead\soldering fine wires or rods, tin wires, fine tin wires, tin rods, soldering alloy wires and fine soldering wires don't seem to fix it though
Using the Duct tape for the EBF this works 100%. If soldering fine wire works i not tested.
You need soldering alloy rods or fine wire and 10k EU using the Soldering Iron from GT.
Ah i see, there's a soldering tool indeed. Although it requires Lithium batteries. So another machine just to fix furnace :( Oh well. Thanks.

Im having problems with the server. None of the mods are working. They are there, but its just like vanilla. Im using hamachi and my friends can join.
Then you starting the Minecraft jar and not the Thermos jar. Try to change this in the sh/bat file.
When i open the Thermos server, nothing happens? Also i couldn't find the bat file. Unless you mean servers.dat and startserver.sh? And what do i do from there?
Yes i mean serverstart.bat. This file link first to Thermos.jar and will start Mincraft with mods.

Setting up a server is not that easy. Maybe replace it with forge and run a server without plugins. Much more easy.
I think I've gotten it to work. I just need my friend to get on to see if he can join. So far so good.
I went into server properties and changed it too hard but i cant find any bad creatures?

I am trying to create a server to play with my friends, but the .bat file closes after 5-6 minutes trying to open the server. I really want to play this modpack online :(

Did you configure all the configs from the Server. Plugins configs, Thermos configs etc?
How do you do that?
You need to run the server once and then change values you need to change. open each yml file or cfg file and check if all setup right. Look at the starting log if you got any errors too.
Normally when i download a modpack server i am able to run it without any of these bumps... Is this caused by the plugins?

and if so, then why does it cause the server to crash?
If i not get any server log fml log etc. i cant say much.
I need help with the official EU server as i cant connect to it (java exception:connection refused) please help!

I setting it to 4 GB to be sure it runs smooth. With 2 GB you need to lower the Graphic settings a lot. I make it in Technic settings required 4 GB.
