Absolutely boring... What is the deal with the 'quest book'. Why constrict the players progress greatly at the beginning. At least give an option to skip the quests entirely. (if there is an option, make it more obvious because I tried looking for one.)
By the time I completed 'Tier 0' I could've had a house, basic thaumcraft tools, iron gear, ect. It was incredibly slow, boring and near torturous. Very unsatisfied with the modpack, I will not be playing it in the future. This is probably why it's not very popular, because most Minecraft players don't want their hands tied when they're trying to start.

Choose another pack if this Pack is boring for you. No one said what you have to doing with your free time.
Do me a favour and not complain here in general. Constructive critics are welcome the other I will remove.
um because this modpack is designed heavily around gregtech and to be tiered progression... like i dunno... forever stranded any modded skyblock...
There seems to be some sort of error occurring sometimes when people try to join a server. A friend and I had another friend set up a server as we had all three freshly downloaded the modpack, yet the friend that is hosting the server and myself are unable to join the server due to a "fatally missing blocks and items" error, and the friend not host IS able to join, and we do not understand why. Any ideas? The server and client packages were all freshly installed earlier today, 3/25/17

Version 1.4.0.1? Newset version 1.4.1.0pre is a testversion and not read for use on servers. Did you run a Forge, thermos, Bukkit Server?
I think i found this error today and i fixed it. Try to redownloading version 1.4.0.1
I'm getting an error saying the ZIP no longer exists? Any clue what's going on?

Which Zip file do you mean? The Server Download or another zip file?
It was the zipfile for the modpack, it's up now. I used the curse client for the meanwhile

How can I increase gamma? I don't see it in settings and changing it in options file doesn't change anything.

You can't. Nights are pitch black and this is intended and part of the pack. Not try to change your gamma it will crash the game.
The server version of this modpack seems to be outdated. When will be the update?

1.4.0.1 is the lastest update and the Server Update 1.4.0.1 too. I dont see a problem here!?!?!
Hey. Can we get Warpdrive-Mod, Big-Reactors, Mechanism and Modular powersuits? The most important is Warpdrive mod tho.

Can you please decrease the minimum amount of RAM needed to play the pack? I have exactly 4GBs of RAM, and I definitely can't allocate all of my RAM, so now I can't play the pack. I know I can run the pack (as I have ran a pack with 200 mods), but because of the minimum you put on the pack I cannot play it. If you do not want to just for the wish of a single person, I understand, and will instead play it on a regular minecraft launcher.

Sure i can lower the ram usage but i am not sure if you can play the pack with a good fps. Will set it to 3 GB next update. You can use FTB and Curse Launcher too. They dont have a limit so far i know.
Do I need the macerator to make gregtech flour, or is there another way im supposed to get it?

Hey thanks for the awesome mod pack, but me and my friends were trying to start our own little private server, unfortunately whenever we load up the server before it fully starts it closes it's self. Anyway to fix this? Thanks!

I wanted to play on the server but my computer can't handle all the mods without time, and in that time the server says invalid session. is it possible you could make a Lite version of this pack. yknow one for people with only Laptops and such. same concept though i love this idea.
also the song is now on my MP3 best title i've heard.

The Pack need 4 GB ram to work fine. I added the Mod reauth to the pack so you can rejoin without restart the game. Are you whitelited on a Server ?
I will not add a light pack. One pack is enough work.
does anyone know how to unlock alternative magic? i had it before the last update but now on this new server my friends made we cant seem to figure out how to unlock it.

You need to do a few Thaumcraft Quests like the Crucible and Alchemical Furnace if i remember right. After this Quest Line will be open.
I have no clue if it is just my local files that are acting up but I the EBF does not work in either creative or survival no matter what. Even with the proper amount of power.

Thanks a Bunch and I found out the core of the problem too.
In the basement I have all GT machines, TC smeltery, and RC coke ovens, when I am there I slowness weakness and sometimes blindness and other worse effects. Why this happens only in the basement near the machine? How to prevent from this ?

It pollution. Try to set your machines a bit far away from your house. Over time it will disappears. Later you can Build Air Filters to clear the Air.

Modpack is great. Thanks for that. I have a question. It does not work recipe for burn redstone block at redstone dust. NEI show it should work.

NEI shows smelting of the non-Gregtech redstone ore, which does not spawn in this modpack. To get redstone dust in the beginning, find small redstone ores and clean the impure dust in a cauldron. Later when you craft a macerator you can process the Gregtech redstone ores.
You can mine All Ores with a GT Hammer too. Get crushed product without any macerator or mortar.
What an awesome modpack - I love the ultra-slow progression!
Just wanted to share a problem I found.
The 16 Cupronickel blocks for the EBF quest are a "Crafting" task. However these are made in the Assembly machine and will therefore not complete the quest! I guess the quest part should be "Retrieve" instead.

What version are you using? I've only ever run 1.2.1.0, and I went through that quest only about 3 days ago, and didn't notice a problem, so I suspect that's already been addressed?
Newest version, 1.2.1.0. Just today I tried to complete the Railcraft Tank quest (also in the multiblock tab) using only the Assembly machine recipes. This also did not complete the quest. Using the more expensive crafting table recipes completed this quest. But the cupronickel blocks are only possible through the Assembly machine...
So I had a chance to look into my Quest book. The railcraft tank quest, as you indicate, requires crafting which, while more expensive, is possible. My EBF quest has crafting for the first two steps - the Heat-Proof blocks and Controller, but the other 5 tasks, including the CuNi coils, are all retrieval.

Reloading the quests worked, thanks! (though some previous quest got marked blue, not completed/reward not taken, but that's not a problem per se)
