Install YaoPack

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (YaoPack) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select YaoPack from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

HELP! IT JUST SHOWS AN ERROR WHEN I'M STARTING THE MODPACK! D:

  • This is probably due to a lot of files that have changed between modpack versions. Make a backup of your most important files from the modpack (like saves and resourcepacks) then DELETE the modpack and re-download again! Yes, delete it. Don't reinstall, that won't work.

  • Make sure that you've allocated at least 4Gb of RAM to the technic Launcher and that you have Java 64-bit installed.

  • If that didn't work, it might be a more serious bug. Please leave your crash log in the issue tracker:

**Known bugs:

  • All Extra Utilities generators may crash your client when shift-clicking

Low-end or little-RAM computers sometimes crash when hovering over certain items in the creative inventory or in the NEI screen. Please allocate at least 2GB for RAM to your TechnicLauncher. If you do not have the option to allocate more than 1Gb, please update your Java JRE to the latest x64 version here: https://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp (Select "offline x64" for your operating system)

**FAQ:

  • **Help me! My game looks all weird and is super bright!

  • Things might look very bright and at first. This is due to the shaders mod changing the lighting of the world. You can change it back by pressing ESC (pause the game), then press the "Shaders" tab and then turning "OldLightning" on in the bottom right. This is an issue I am currently trying to resolve. You can also try switching "brightness" to below 50%.

  • **Can I make videos using this modpack?

  • Sure! Just make sure to give a link to the modpack in/below the video.

  • **Could you add [X] mod?

  • Please leave your mod suggestions in the "Discussions" tab or on the official Discord Server.

  • **Can I reupload this modpack to [X] site?

  • No.

  • **When I use the Shaders mod, big black moving rectangles appear on the ground!

  • To fix this, turn of "Clouds" in Graphic Settings > Details > Clouds to OFF.

  • **I have found a bug! What do I do?

  • Report it to me in the Discussions tab or on the Issue Tracker and I'll look into it. Just make sure no one has already reported that bug, in that case, upvote that report. If you have a big report to send to me (including error logs), you can always go to the YaoPack's GitHub issue tracker page and post it there:
