Technic Platform v2 and Technic Launcher v3 Released!

We appreciate your patience with the outages. If you have a modpack you curate be sure to edit your modpack on the resources tab to re-apply your art in the new sizes. Your modpack will be artless until you do this.

Welcome to the new Technic Platform.

This new site, together with the new Launcher, are more than just a design refresh, it’s a leap forward toward bringing content curators and users together.

Now users have the ability to comment, like, follow and post about modpacks. As a modpack owner, you now have the ability to post status updates and news posts to users who are following you.

The Launcher now integrates with the Platform heavily, allowing searching for modpacks within itself, seeing news posts from modpack curators, and lists likes, runs, and installs. Portable mod is back, and we have an actual Mac client for those among us that run Apple. The Launcher also has language support for German, Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil) Chinese (China and Taiwan), Italian, French and English.

We have a vast upgrade to usability, features, information, and tools. From customizability to interactions with your users to elasticsearch, we hope you enjoy the work we’ve put in to make the Technic Platform look, feel, and most importantly perform well.

I can't even run my favorite modpack on here. So i'm going to protest by removing my modpack on here. I recommend the same until they restore the old launcher.

when I try to install or play a pack it says "installing assets" for a moment then it the laucher closes as if it were to launch minecraft but it just opens back up.. idk if this is for me only but this is a BRAND NEW COMPUTER and it wont any modpacks (besides voltz but idk why)

I was really excited when I saw that the download for Mac was an application instead of a JAR file. But when I went to open the application, it said "The application "Technic" can't be opened." So I guess I'll stick to the JAR for now, but if you guys could please fix this issue, that would be fantastic! I like the new designs, and that I don't have to scroll around to find the right modpack on the launcher. Keep up the good work, and good luck on fixing the bugs in the new interfaces. Thanks.

To install a new pack, search the name in the search bar, select the pack you want, and click install in the bottom-right.

So spending all that time adding info and links to each mod in solder was for nothing now? Can't find any modlist anymore. Hope this will show up later.

Hi. I feel your pain! I still can't find modlists for many modpacks. Most don't give information on the overview page, so you usually have to guess what mods are in them. Also, like you, some information that I had entered previously about my modpacks disappeared with the update. I re-added it to the pack overview page, but it seems a lot of people haven't. I don't think that info is coming back. I still love Technic though. It's free, and wonderful to share modpacks with friends and with the world. :-)

Everyone listen I know the launcher and website here are not quite as good as the old one it is true but come on its been less than a week since the release just give it time to continue being tweaked on and settle into it. The technic team will not just ignore your comments they have probably read all of them and are working on making a better experience for you! Keep in mind you get to use the technic launcher for free. Don't give me or technic hate on this I guarantee after a few weeks everything will be even better than before it just needs some tweeks
