Install Tekkit

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (Tekkit) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select Tekkit from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

Lumy Skin Patch has been updated to 1.0.13 so skins should be working again. Existing modpack builds were updated to the fixed version.

Hi, I've been trying to get back into tekkit from the olde times with some friends, but am having some problems getting it to run on my modern hardware. A link to what the game looked like here: https://imgur.com/a/vzvZnp5 . If you could lend a hand that would be great, if not if you could point me to some people who could help it would be much appreciated. Tech specs: I7 13700H, RTX A100(6GB) ,16GB DDR5 at 5200 running win11 (a laptop).

Or, if you don't think it's worth the time to figure out, how does the modern Tekkit2 or Tekkit SMP compare? I didn't bother with even older packs(think 1.2-1.5) because I thought there would be hardware issues with the optimization mods.
