Install Tekkit Legends

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (Tekkit Legends) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select Tekkit Legends from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

Can you add in a few mods? These are not major, just a few mods that help a tiny bit. 1. Waila Plugins - http://tinyurl.com/wailaplugins 2. ArmorStatusHUD - http://tinyurl.com/armorstatusmod 3. Wawla - http://tinyurl.com/wawlamod 4. Endercore - http://tinyurl.com/endercore Waila Plugins adds some more information into the Waila HUD for railcraft and other mods(but those are not in the modpack) ArmorStatusHUD adds durability left to the tools and armor you have equipped to the side of your screen. I added this to my game, because I wanted to see the durability of the gem tools. Wawla is my favorite out of these, adds a percentage-until-break on the Waila HUD. Endercore is needed for Waila Plugins. Thanks in advance ;)

Those mods are in Tekkit. This is Tekkit Classic Redone. Tekkit Classic didn't have those mods, Tekkit Legends won't either.

All these people saying add thermal expansion or other mods. I'm willing to bet you haven't even looked into how to replace what those mods do with mods that are already in the pack. For example, thermal expansion is just an easier way to do industrial craft. Minefactory and all it's automation, can be done with forestry and blue power. And AE2 can be done using the addon for buildcraft pipes (can't remember the name). The only thing going for these new mods people are wanting added are that they take more and more of the challenge out of the game.

i wonder when the thermal mods will be added as the permissions has them all "Nether Ores, COFH Core, Thermal Foundation, Thermal Expansion, Thermal Dynamics, and Redstone Arsenal, are developed by Team CoFH and are permitted to be used in modpacks under various licenses."

The whole concept of this pack is "Tekkit Classic Redone". Thermal Expansion is a replacement for IndustrialCraft 2. IC2 was in Tekkit Classic. ThermEx wasn't. You want ThermEx? You play a pack with ThermEx.

did you read what i posted? i said i wonder when they will add it as the mod permission list has it there with a link to each individual mod seems intentional like they are waiting for a bug to be fixed before they add it also modular power suits wasn't in tekkit classic so by your logic it shouldn't be in the pack as well as engineers toolbox a direct copy paste from the permissions tab of this pack "Nether Ores, COFH Core, Thermal Foundation, Thermal Expansion, Thermal Dynamics, and Redstone Arsenal, are developed by Team CoFH and are permitted to be used in modpacks under various licenses."

They're automatically downloaded with one of cofh core I think. The reason that's in there is because of redstone arsenal.

This mod pack, Tekkit Legends, is very unique as lots of old mods and has feel of old style of gameplay people used to love. If Thermal Expansion or other modern mods are installed then it will loose the feel of old style of gameplay and it will become no different to other ordinary mod pack, like FTB.

YES! I completely agree. I think most, if not all, of the people wanting these new mods never even played tekkit classic, or atleast when it was relevant. All these new mods make the game easier, you no longer have to do convoluted sorting systems with red power, now known as blue power. Keep it the same!

the difference would be that the mods would actually be updated, unlike the skrublords who cant seem to escape 1.5 or 6.4

Whatever you do, please don't add thermal expansion. The whole point of legends is to have the old mods that were in tekkit classic. Adding thermal expansion would absolutely ruin the nostalgia.

Look at all you new modded minecraft players needing their fix on new mods. Thermal expansion would completely replace industrial craft as it already has done in other modpacks. The only reason you would look into industrial craft is for the armour. Tekkit legends isn't meant to be super easy to play. Thermal expansion is a mod for lazy people who really can't be bothered to just make a simple pipe and engine. It's a comfort mod. For gods sake, don't add thermal expansion. It would ruin the pack.

New modded players? well actually i have been playing tekkit classic for the last 6-12 months so i'll let that slide the point of adding Thermal expansion i have is that it expands on the big reactor system and if it is easy the pack creator will change the recipe and make it harder which i am all for however why not make the recipes for IC2 and Thermalex work in relation to which one is more powerful so you would make the thermal machines harder keep the ic2 machines the same also explain why thermal expansion is already in the permissions list if they are not going to add it as well as the pack description "This pack will remind you of what you've always loved about Tekkit, while bringing you new mods to discover and enjoy!" NEW modsa s in not tekkit classic 2.0 you dont always have to do every mod in a pack anyway as in classic all anyone did was EE if they add some new mods there will be diversity in the mods people do

I'm sorry but I collapsed mid way through reading your post, without any punctuation what so ever it was very difficult to make sense of. Thermal expansion is too easy, far too easy, it completely replaces the need for industrial craft. So it might as well be gotten rid of if thermal expansion is being added.

Are the clients getting Fatally Missing Blocks/Items? If so go into Config/Railcraft/Blocks.cfg and change to B:residual.heat=false

They don't want Thermal Expansion. This is Tekkit Classic Redone. Thermal Expansion didn't exist back then. In fact, ThermEx feels like it was made to replace/compete with IndustrialCraft 2, which is in this pack.
