New modem came in from Comcrap. Spent way more time than I would like getting it bridged and all the connection issues (hopefully) worked out. Server is now accessible to the outside Interwebs now. Will do an update soonish.

Server's back up and running. Lost the world data though. Let me know if there's any performance hiccups. I lost all the data on the drive thanks to Linux being picky about what it will and won't recognize.
It's worse than I thought. It also got the server drive. I'll attempt to recover the server, but be warned it may not be possible.
Power blip crashed the Server. I'm recovering the system drive on it.

Had a friend of mine ask how you progress into metal for mining. Simple. Ex Nihilo Hammer to start with. You can get iron and most mod's copper and tin with a stone hammer.
