Install Sky Factory 3 custom

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (Sky Factory 3 custom) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select Sky Factory 3 custom from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

Our custom version of SkyFactory 3 now includes a Java version checker mod. As such, you must now have Java 8 64bit installed before the pack will be allowed to start up. If you do not have Java 8 64 bit installed, the version checker mod will stop the loading process and display an error message.

This pack requires a minimum of 4 gig of ram to run. If you do not have Java 64bit installed, you must install it now. Please goto https://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and download the Java 64bit OFFLINE installer. Once that is done, goto Launcher Settings > Java Settings, and set memory to 4 gig. If you do not have at least 6 gig of memory installed on your computer you cannot run Sky Factory 3. This is a limitation of Minecraft 1.10.2 and there is nothing that can be done to change that.

Due to issues with the Fullscreen Window mod, we have removed it from the pack. If you for some reason need to use that mod, you are welcome to install it yourself, however no support will be given for crashes involving Fullscreen Window mod.

If your client crashes while starting up, or while running, and you go to your install folder and find a file that looks like hs_err_pid2828.log but has different numbers, you need to change where your modpacks are installed. This is a known issue with Windows 7, 8, and 10 that affects all Minecraft versions at random. To prevent this error, set your install folder to either c:\techinc or someplace else that does NOT have c:\users\ in the location.
