Potentially Asked Questions
Q1: Why do I have to sign a general liability waiver? A1: Due to potential health and safety concerns, the KimiTech Industries legal department requires this form to be signed in order to protect the company.
Q2: Why do I have to sign an NDA? A2: Many reasons, but most importantly related to the nature of some of our research project being funded by military interests. As the nature of these projects could be potentially damaging to our reputation, the reputation of other entities, and to our ability to patent discoveries made as a result of these projects, we require all employees to sign and abide by a non-disclosure agreement.
Q3: Does KTI do anything illegal? If not, why the need for secrecy? A3: In short, no. The need for secrecy is to ensure our profit margins are protected from outside influences or industrial sabotage. KimiTech Industries abides by all legal guidelines established by the countries in which it operates, as well as by international guidelines regarding the use and containment nuclear, chemical, biological and unclassified agents.
Q4: Okay, drop the shtick for the moment - what exactly IS this? A4: This is a "high-tech" modpack for MineCraft 1.7.10 with strong themes of bleeding-edge and future technologies. It is designed to be fun overall with a smooth progression to end-game content.
Q5: Wait, wasn't KimiTech a magi-tech modpack? A5: KimiTech has been, previously, a range from clockpunk to magitech and everything in between. In the future it may return to these origins, or it may explore other directions.
Q6: Is there an over-arching story to KimiTech, one which explains the progressive changes that have occurred? A6: There is, but it isn't publicly available. What I can say of it is that KimiTech HQ is a massive artificial satellite in geosynchronous orbit over the Pacific Ocean, and it may be populated by androids, nekomimi and/or extraplanar cosmic horrors.
Q7: So what do I do in-game? A7(a): Build, explore, mine. It's MineCraft, so really just do whatever you like. A7(b): "As part of your applicant process you have been airlifted to an undisclosed location to establish a base of operations, survey the surrounding terrain and gather any and all curiosities, valuable resources or potentially useful materials."
Q8: How much of the lore is crap? A8: Depends on who's asking. :)
Q9: But how do I... A9: For some things, Google is your friend. Search the mod or item name to find out more. However, with the large number of changes made to bring the pack into a cohesive whole, some (most) things may not work or have a different recipe or method of aquisition.
