In the top right of the quest book, on the main screen where you select a quest set, there should be party options there. You have to invite them, and they have to accept.

I love this pack so much. Spent a good 6-7 hours yesterday (sadly) and got pretty far. The only thing that is annoying me is that I lack dirt. Is dirt really that hard to get or is there an easier way to get it pretty early on? Btw I'm 6 quests away from finishing the first set of quests so im not that far.

Did you do the dirt machine quest? Shearing leaves is a great way to get composting materials, and invar shears have good durability.
I've enjoyed your pack tremendously and I have progressed a lot. This is my first experience with a plethora of these mods, so I have thoroughly enjoyed my first exposure with this quest book. One problem I have run into is Oak Saplings. I can find no way to get an Oak Sapling which I need to continue in both the second set of quests (Breeder) and the third set of quests (Sigil of the Green Grove). Love the map/ pack -hope I can get some help with the saplings.

You can get oak saplings (acorns) from sifting dirt, but you should be able to use any type of sapling for the breeder quest. I don't recall if I changed the SotGG to use any sapling, or if I left it as the default oak saplings. Just put a bunch of dirt (several stacks) into your sifting machines, you'll get it eventually.
I'm glad you're enjoying the pack :) I don't get much feedback on the pack itself, so posts like this are great.
Tree farms are an excellent source of dirt. You can get dirt from composting saplings, or a quick burst from composting leaves if you set the harvester to shear leaves (you'll eventually run out of saplings that way). In addition you can put the sludge into a sludge boiler to get a bunch of useful blocks, such as more dirt.
For me it dosnt have a tree at the start. Whats wrong?
Nothing. You don't start with a tree. Do the first few quests, you'll get it pretty quickly.
dude fix the mod pack. i havent been able to play it for a longtime the last time i was able to play was sometime before you started working on your defiance of fate pack

The pack works just fine. You'll have to be more specific as the problem is yours.
Is there anyway that you can get the Tree Growing Simulator mod on here?
I'm not really supporting this modpack anymore, but it will work just fine if you put TGS in the mods folder.
the only problem is that TGS 1.6.4 download is broken and you can only get the 1.7.10
Please put opfine in modpack my pc and not very good

I can't do that, as every PC needs a different version of Optifine. I would need Ultra, for example, which would be terrible for your PC. However it's a simple matter for you to download Optifine and put it in your mods folder.
you can put optifine in by yourself go to %appdata%\.technic\modpacks\hardcore-modded-skyblock\mods and put the good optifine in it
i just finished the last quest about the ME terminal (Wireless Access) and it won't award me the reward. Why?

It turns out there isn't anything I can do to fix that, but that's the last quest in the AE line anyways, so it's not a big deal.
I can't get my reward on the 3rd quest! Help!

That's because you haven't completed the quest yet. On the left side click on the task called "Get Those Saplings!"
Nice pack. Its different which makes it fun. Ridiculous amount of quests haha. Makes it last awhile. You should start people off with a bone or two though. Kinda sucked having to wait 40 min because i had a retarded tree.
Yeah, that's how long it took my first tree to grow in my last run. You can add Tree Growing Simulator 2014 to the pack to make that less tedious. The new pack that I'm working on includes TGS.

I'm glad you enjoy it. I really wish I had some metrics on how far people have gotten. How far have you made it so far? Also, sorry about the increase in typos towards the ends of the quest lines. I tried hard to make sure I didn't have typographical or grammatical errors, but as I review some of the quests in HMS while working on DoF I have found several. It's a shame I seem to be too lazy to fix them and post a new version...
