Hello! I've played in this excellent modpack very long, but yesterday something with my additional mods went wrong, and it just stopped run( When I tryed to reinstall Genesis of the Void, suddenly I noticed that it is not availible now. It was terrible, I really was sad, because I have never seen modpacks better than yours. So, could you send me the "Genesis of the Void" on my email please? It is [email protected]

Hey guys! So I have to level with you guys, especially sense none of you have failed to notice how bumpy this pack's journey has been lately. As many of you know, I have strained to keep up with this pack, and the recent problem of bandwidth limits and my main host shutting down in a little over a month has been very trying. Truth is, I've looked far and wide to find a host that could at least be swapped to if the bandwidth limit was reached on the other host(s). But I have found none. I'm not hating on Technic, I love Technic, but Technic API has some serious limitations on what the direct DLs URL should look like. Thus, even though there's no shortage of free hosts, there doesn't seem to be any host, with direct DLs, that Technic API clears for use. Except Copy.com, which is shutting down May 1st, and of course Dropbox. Dropbox is a nice host, easy to use and has fast DL times. But it also has a very limited bandwidth limit for free accounts, hence all the bandwidth issues lately. 6 out of 8 times it went down over the past week were from Dropbox because free accounts are so limited. "So? Pay for a premium account!" There's two reasons I can't pay for an account. First, I'm not "well to do" at all. Time is about the only thing I can spend right now. And secondly, if and when I start making much better wages, I won't be spending them on servers or premium accounts. I know that sounds cold and harsh to you guys, but truth is I have a dream I know I can obtain, and it's not Minecraft modpack hosting. It's always been a dream of mine to pursue YouTube video and Twitch stream productions, which of course takes some serious gear. That gear ain't cheap... It's very spensive... very VERY spensive... So when I start making better wages, that's where the extra will go. I know a lot of people would label it as a waste, especially when thinking of all the hundreds of thousands and millions of other people trying to do the same thing. And if you know me, I'm not the most confident individual, yet despite those things, I can feel that I can do it; I know I can. And if I'm wrong, I'll have some awesome gaming gear lol. But nah, I won't fail, cause I'll do it whether I'm successful or not. It's just fun, and it's amazing to make people smile and laugh. Those are the real reasons I want to do this. So now, I want to talk directly to my supporters, which I guess I have been this whole time actually, so Idk why I say that. thank you so so SO SO much for all the support, help, suggestions, encouragement, and fun times! It's been so awesome doing all of this with you guys and giving you something you enjoy and had fun with! When I came here a year ago, I started my first pack just cause I was bored and figured if even one person liked and had fun with the pack, I would have succeeded. That's what it's always been about; making you guys happy! Well, looks like I made ~41K people happy and ~59 really really happy, so that's nothing less than amazing and a blessing in my book! And I say blessing, because it was you guys that put those numbers up there, not me; so thanks again for being so awesome and blessing me! The great news is that someone else may be interested in taking the pack off my hands and keeping it going, which would be absolutely amazing! Well, I'd say goodbye, but this isn't goodbye. I'll still be around here and always on Twitter (Good God, definitely on Twitter, I spend soooo much time on Twitter...), and hopefully I'll see you guys around Technic, in my future streams, and future comments sections! Til next time guys, thanks again so much! Be happy, keep smiling, and have a blessed day! :)

1st, when you get a channel i would love to subscribe, and 2nd, have you done any other modpacks that we can play?
Posted by Levion 8 years ago
God speed buddy. I'll do my best to make ya' proud! (Also, you can expect one more sub/follower when you make it there pal!) Once I get the server files and figure out which mod(s) is causing the lag, (which just came up with the last big update, {I hope it won't take too long!}), I'll haul this thing back off the ground and send it high! So, "See you on the other side Ray!" And good luck pal! I know you can do it!
Posted by Amond 8 years ago
Hey, I just tried to play it, and it worked! the server isnt there, but the game works.
Levion 8 years ago
Glad to hear it's working for you Levion! Bandwidth limits have been the bane of this pack's existence here. Luckily, Amond is taking it over, so it should be in good hands now :)

Hey guys, sorry about the troubles but I have been having a lot of trouble with bandwidth limits and I cant find another host that has unlimited bandwidth limits. I have searched for a few days now, but I cannot find one. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about the bandwidth limits at the moment. Sorry about the complications, and thanks for sticking in with me but this might be the end of this pack very soon.

I will never forget this pack.
Posted by Levion 8 years ago
NOOOOO! *Sniff*... It seemed to be going so well! The hqm mod seemed really promising! (I already have a dozen quests ready!) If this is the end, then let me continue it's legacy. Send me the files and I'll build it from where you left off. "You've performed brilliantly Gryph0nnn. Let us take it from here." ~Sirius Black. Seriously, this pack was amazing. Please don't let it end here!
Posted by Amond 8 years ago
Hey Amond, if you'd like to take the pack into your hands, that's more than fine by me, that'd be really awesome. I'd hate to see it end, so if you want, then I can send it to you. You should be able to use the direct dl links to get the pack zip files, so if you don't mind them being displayed here, or better yet on Twitter DM or something, I can send you the links and you can just download the zips. Thanks for being willing to take the pack, its a huge relief for me and I'd be very happy to see the pack continue on.
Posted by Gryph0nnn 8 years ago | Modpack Creator
No problem man. You clearly worked hard on this. I'd be happy to continue it on! :) Here... [email protected]. Just send the links there and I should have it up and running in no time!

"Why couldn't the elastic stretch all the way around the Aether?" "Because there wasn't enough bandwidth!" HAHAHA! Ha... ha... I'll see myself out.
Amond 8 years ago
hola. How would I go about setting up a server for this? I just want to set up a small private server. Also your server dl link is broken. Thanks.
fartboy27 8 years ago
Hello, the link was disabled because of too much bandwidth on the host server, but I've switched the files to a new host to help prevent that. The link is up now, just download them, extract the folder to wherever you want using WinRar or 7-zip, and double click the forge.jar file included to start the server. Happy crafting! :)

im really sorry to bug you i just really like this mod
Posted by AhzrinA 8 years ago
No bother man, I'm happy to help :) Taking a look now, looks like Ancient Warfare is the culprit this time. I'm not sure why some mods are erroring on load for others when they don't for me... I'll keep looking into it, but in the mean time, you can manually remove the file easily by following these steps. First, assuming you're on windows, go to %AppData%/.technic/modpacks/aether-ii-revived/mods. Then, remove the file "ancientwarfare-2.4.115-beta-MC1.7.10-FULL.jar". I'll try to find a fix, but I hope that helps for now. Thanks for contacting me and providing a crash report :)
Posted by Gryph0nnn 8 years ago | Modpack Creator
Looks like you're also using an outdated Java version ("Java Version: 1.7.0_80, Oracle Corporation"). That could also do it, but not guaranteed to be the culprit. Please update Java and try to launch it again. More info on java updates in the "Help" tab. Most mods nowadays require version 8. The whole Legacy errors and such have been fixed in Forge Mod Loader so no need to worry about issues with other packs.

Looks like FusionUtil and RPGLoot is erroring on load. Strange cause it doesn't do that on my rig... The best advice I could give right now is to remove those two mods from the mods folder. The easiest way to do so is to click "Modpack Options" on the launcher while Aether II is selected, then click "Open" on the menu that pops up. A new window should open, in that window look for "Mods". Enter that file then delete both "[1.7.10]FusionUtil-0.1.0.jar" and "[1.7.10]RPGLoot-1.0.7.jar". Then launch the game like normal. I'll keep checking on this issue and try to sort it out. Maybe it's just config files? Not sure, but thanks for letting me know and including the crash log! :)
Posted by Gryph0nnn 8 years ago | Modpack Creator
My screen glitches out a bit on loading, but it works fine. Do what Gryph0nnn said, then try playing with your video settings in the technic launcher.
Posted by Amond 8 years ago
This is just a wild spit ball of an idea, but the graphical issues might be OptiFine. More specifically, "Fast Render" and "Lazy Chunk Loading", both of which can be disabled in-game by going to Options -> Video Settings -> Performance. "Fast Render" often causes flickering on my rig so maybe that helps, maybe not, like I said it's a shot in the dark lol.

ah, it works now. thanks for your help

Posted by AhzrinA 8 years ago
Hey Ahzrina, sorry for the troubles. I'm going to need a little more info though; in the directory AppData/Roaming/.technic/modpacks/aether-ii-revived/crash-reports, I need the most recent crash report. Open the most recent crash report then select all, copy, and paste to pastebin.com abd post the link here. I will try to get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks, best wishes :)
Posted by Gryph0nnn 8 years ago | Modpack Creator
Also it's possible that the DL didn't come through all the way. The Bandwidth limit was reached on the main host. I have switched the link to a temp one, so I would try reinstalling the pack without deleting the pack. If you delete the pack, you'll lose your world(s). Instead, click "Modpack Options" found under the "Installed Version" label in the upper right hand side of the launcher, and then click "Reinstall Pack" on the lower right hand side of the new window that pops up. If this doesn't work, as I am unable to recreate the problem, I'll need the crash report to be of any further assistance. If you need any assistance on reinstalling or pasting your crash report, please let me know :)

No problem

Hey guys, so first thing to say is your player skin is safe! The problem is that for some reason Technic Launcher seems to have some kind of delay between player skin refreshing and ends up displaying your skin as default steve. So in short, Technic can't refresh quick enough and so the game is defaulting to the skin file in the actual minecraft.jar skin. Here's how to keep that from happening. This will work with all other packs as well, and I've personally been doing this for some time to keep the skin from defaulting. First get yourself WinRAR or 7-zip. I recommend 7-zip as its free and has all your practical functions for pretty much every kind of compressed file out there. Then navigate to: AppData\Roaming\.technic\modpacks\aether-ii-revived\bin. Then, using WinRAR or 7-zip to open minecraft.jar and go into: assets\minecraft\textures\entity. Now get your skin file, copy it (preferably to desktop) and rename the copy "steve.png". Now drag and drop into the "entity" folder in the .jar file. Say "yes" to any dialogue boxes that ask you if you're sure. You're done! Just close the .jar file and enjoy the pack! Now if the refresh delay tries to default to "steve.png", that file will still be your skin. Keep in mind you'll have to do this again to any other Minecraft.jar for other packs, and you'll have to repeat if you update your skin and want the default skin to be your newest skin. Hope this helps, happy crafting! :)

Hey guys, so you might be here for the competition details, so I'm going to get straight to it. Using HQM Quest Mod 1.7.10, create about a few dozen quests (12-40) and submit them to me via [email protected]. Create the quests using the in-game editor using the command "/hqm edit". They will then be saved to "AppData/Roaming/.technic/modpacks/aether-ii-revived/config/hqm/quests.hqm". When sending the E-Mail, write in the subject line "HQM Quests". If the subject line says anything else, it will be ignored. In the email, please attach the "quests.hqm" file AND the files found in "QuestFiles", if there are any; both can be found in the earlier directory address. A brief example of the quests themselves and, if applicable, the over laying story is prefered. If you make your own story, please stay lore friendly as possible! You can refer to the Aether II Wiki for lore details. Also, keep all content including language G rated. Entrants may have their entire quest line used, or only certain quests. There is the possibility for multiple winners. As soon as you send the e-mail containing the files, those files become property of Gryph0nnn. I will, of course, give all credit to the creators. There is no reward for this other than seeing your own quests be played by many other players here on Technic. I also reserve the right to make edits to every and any component of the files and how they are used in game. I don't think I will though cause I'm lost :b If there are no quality entrants, no entrants within the rules earlier stated, or no entrants at all, I will create my own quest line, however it will take a long time. Good luck to all, and thanks for participating, whether creator or user! If you have any questions feel free to ask me here on this discussion page. No where else, they will be ignored. Just helps me stay organized :) Happy coding everyone!
