this is very annoying and preventing me from playing normally. sometimes the squid is facing up and sometimes down. Ill follow up with some screenshots

whenever i look in certain directions my screen goes black except for hotbar map etc and only when i went in 3rd person did i notice it was a squid.

That has nothing to do with my modpack. Your Technic Launcher might have been bugged.
