Lithium by jellysquid_
Lithium is a general-purpose optimization mod for Minecraft which works to improve a number of systems (game physics, mob AI, block ticking, etc) without changing any behavior. It works on both the client and server, and can be installed on servers without requiring clients to also have the mod. With the mod installed, you can see on average a 45% improvement to server tick times, resulting in a much leaner game.

Phosphor by jellysquid_
Phosphor is a Minecraft mod which works to optimize one of game's most inefficient areas-- the lighting engine. It works on both the client and server, and can be installed on servers without requiring clients to also have the mod. With Phosphor, the amount of time the game takes to generate chunks can be halved for some dimensions, and frame stuttering experienced while traversing the world can be significantly reduced. It's a no-compromises solution for improving performance either in single-player or large multi-player servers, and changes no features or behaviors of the vanilla game.

It boasts wide compatibility with the Fabric mod ecosystem when compared to other mods and doesn't compromise on how the game looks, giving you that authentic block game feel.

Xaero's Minimap by xaero96
Unlike many other minimap mods, Xaero's minimap keeps the aesthetic feel and look of vanilla Minecraft which might even make you forget that it was a mod in the first place. It's also the first rotating square minimap for Minecraft but there is a toggle to make it lock north and not rotate.
fabric-1.18.2-1.20.5
Xaero's World Map by xaero96
Xaero's World Map mod adds a self-writing fullscreen map to your Minecraft client. Works as a separate mod but is a lot better with Xaero's Minimap. The reason why it's available separately is to keep Xaero's Minimap as light-weight as possible.
