Install The Open Frontier

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (The Open Frontier) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select The Open Frontier from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

Why isnt my world generation custom?

When generating a world, you must make sure to click "More World Options" and set the world type to TerraForged. This will enable the custom world generation of both TerraForged and Biomes O' Plenty

Modpack isnt working?

If you are running the ultra version of the modpack and it is not working, make sure to download Optifine. Instructions are available here.

Modpack is lagging?

This could be due to one of two issues.

Lack of allocated RAM

  1. Go to "Launcher Options"
  2. Open the "Java Settings" tab
  3. Set the allocated memory to a higher amount
  4. Launch the modpack again and it should run smoother

Slow computer

If the above steps do not fix the issue, your computer may be too slow to run the ultra version of the modpack. Follow the steps here to switch to the normal (non-ultra) version of the modpack.
