Adventure Backpack by JavierDarkona
Adventure Backpack adds 60-something new backpacks with original designs, abilities and they can store fluids! They will keep their inventory when you die, are impervious to lava and fire, and have some neat abilities: You can rotate the tool in your hand with the tools stored in the green slots of your backpack if you sneak and roll the mouse wheel. You can craft a Hose that will allow you to suck and spill fluids in the world. Some backpacks have special abilities, and because this is still in development, more will be added over time. They are Crafting Benches too! You can deploy a sleeping bag from your backpack to sleep anywhere! Tools in the special tool slots render on the backpack. Fluids will render inside the tanks. The rendering depends on the quantity. The Hose lets you drink the contents of your backpacks tanks, for various effects. This mod also adds the following: Piston-powered boots, to jump higher and run faster. A classy Fedora. Looks cool. A matching hat that will make you look almost like that famous adventurer, Harrison Jones! * A Machete, to traverse dense jungles faster. Delicious Melon Juicetm. More information in the minecraft forum post: ZELDA LINK GANONDORF To open the backpack inventory while wearing it, press B (configurable) To switch the tank the hose is bound to, press N while holding it (configurable) To switch the hose modes, sneak and mousewheel.

Botania by vazkii
Botania is a tech mod in essence. The theme is natural magic. By which the very base of the mod, as the title would give you the idea of, is flora. Of course, it's not limited to that. Most of the info on Botania can be found inside the game, in the Lexica Botania, the mod's "documentation book". You can craft it pretty easily with a book and any type of sapling.

Chat Bubbles by Mamiya0taru
Chat Bubbles is a mod that displays things other players say above their heads in a chat bubble, like some MMORPGs Go here http://minecraft.curseforge.com/mc-mods/235520-chat-bubbles/files to make sure you get the right version for your version of Minecraft! Requires Liteloader. For 1.8, Liteloader development builds are available from the Jenkins build server. Get Liteloader beta for 1.8 there. With Liteloader installed, put the .litemod file into your ,minecraft/mods/1.7.10 or .minecraft/mods/1.8 folder Works on most multiplayer servers, but if a server has a super customized format for chat lines that is far enough away from normal it may not work on that server. CoFHLib by TeamCoFH
The intention of the CoFH Common Library is to establish a framework for modders to use to avoid "reinventing the wheel," as it were. This library contains a lot of basic functionality that quite a few mods end up adding at some point during their development. Ideally, using this library will allow for more rapid mod development as a lot of the "boring" yet essential code is provided here. Additionally, it has the potential to greatly reduce permgen space, and who can argue with that? Obviously, we have to maintain this library and keep it compatible with the changes and updates introduced by Minecraft and Forge, but we'll try and only add new things if at all possible. If you feel that there is anything obvious or very basic that we have missed, feel free to suggest it to the team. We look forward to seeing what the community does with this.
1.0.134
Cooking for Blockheads by BlayTheNinth
This mod adds a cooking book to Minecraft that will only show recipes that you can currently make with the things you carry in your inventory. It also adds an optional upgraded version of the book that can craft the foods right away by simply clicking on the recipes. There's also five new blocks that together form a Multiblock Kitchen Structure. It consists of the main component, the Cooking Table, which is the book in block-form and uses the other Multiblock Kitchen parts, the Cooking Oven, which can smelt food items only and provides smelting ability to the Cooking Table, the sink which provides water for recipes, the tool rack which can be used to store tools for recipes and the fridge, where you can store all your ingredients. It was made with Pam's Harvestcraft (and all the other mods that add lots of new food) in mind, as it can get quite overwhelming if you're just starting out in your journey of becoming a kitchen master.

Decocraft by RazzleberryFox
Have you ever wanted to add objects into minecraft for decoration, or wanted to make a cinematic, but found your Set lacking?? Well this mod changes that… I started it for a role playing server, after coming on the forums and finding no one really added things into minecraft just for the sake of having a few decorations, and a lot of people asking questions like: “How do I add my Techne model into minecraft?” So I put this fun little mod together…. I have been coding, making models and texturing every single block… it has been a slow process, but I am very happy with the way it has evolved.

1.7.10-V10b
ElectriCraft by reikas
ElectriCraft adds a new way to transport and store RotaryCraft power. Like ReactorCraft, this mod is dependent on RotaryCraft. ElectriCraft adds electrical motors and generators, as well as several tiers of wires. It follows a simplified version of the behavior of real-world electricity, where voltage and current are two distinct parameters, making this power system 3D like that of RotaryCraft. Voltage is generated by rotational speed, while current is generated by torque into the generator. Higher currents can melt wires that cannot handle it, while voltage is lost over distance proportional to the wire resistance. ElectriCraft also adds batteries to store power; they charge from the sides or below, and can emit power from the top when given a redstone signal. Each tier has a greater storage capacity and a greater (fixed) output than the last. ElectriCraft also adds two wire control devices. Resistors act as current limiters, allowing for unequal distribution of power. To change the value, dye the three bands according to standard resistor color codes. Relays act as redstone-controlled switches.

Enhanced Portals brings a richer experience than the vanilla obsidian frames. Transport players, mobs, animals, items, fluids, even energy to anywhere, whether it be 10,000m away, in the Nether, the Twilight Forest, or any other dimension. Link them together on a network or use them to dial other portals. Use them on your server as thresholds to other worlds or biomes. You can even design complex creations to help with other projects, like a spawner room or minecart system. The portals you design don't even need to be in the shape of a rectangle, make them any shape you want to, as long as it's a closed, flat area.

Hardcore Ender Expansion offers unique, new content across the End. The dragon became a truly challenging boss with a great reward, but the adventure doesn't end there. The End is no longer just an island. Go investigate unique ores, battle new mobs, travel to new biomes, the death awaits you! ... I mean, adventure. Adventure awaits you. To get familiar with the mod, use the Ender Compendium, which is a source of information about every feature of the mod! By exploring new blocks, items and mobs, you gain points which you can use to unlock information about these objects. You can open the Ender Compendium using the 'P' key by default. Another important part of the mod are achievements, which will guide you through the main features. You can access them via the Compendium as well.

HelpFixer by matthewprenger
Some modded commands incorrectly implement a certain piece of code. This piece of code is used for sorting the list of commands alphabetically in the /help command. This incorrect code actually causes the /help command to break with an error that is vague and confusing. HelpFixer changes the /help command to go around the offending code and sort the commands by a method that will work. HelpFixer also logs offending commands to the server log, allowing you to figure out who was causing the problem.

Hunger Overhaul by progwml6
The purpose of this mod is to tweak the hunger mechanics to my liking. My aim here is to make hunger more of a challenge, rather than just a mild annoyance. iChunUtil by ichun
This mod is a shared library required by a couple of my mods.
0.7.1.2
Immersive Engineering by BluSunrize
Overall, it's about realism-inspired technology: Instead of glowing red tubes, it offers actual, hanging powerlines. Instead of one block that magically spits out dusts when ore is put in, it offers a crusher, a big multiblock (5x3x3) that features rotating wheels and spits out particles as it breaks the ore. Instead of a Laser that turns power into magical light and ores, it offers an Excavator, another massive, resource intensive, multiblock (3x7x8) which digs ores out of the ground with a big rotating bucketwheel. IE is about making tech mods more balanced and more pretty, and adding its own twist by going for retro-futurism (think BioShock, Order 1886, SkyCaptain and the World of Tomorrow) rather than clinical white+grey future cubes. It uses the RedstoneFlux API, known from Thermal Expansion, BuildCraft, EnderIO and other mods, but can be played fully standalone. Unlike other mods, IE does not use powertransfer via lanes of blocks, but instead via cables spanned between connectors. It also allows transport and conversion of IC2's EU =P The mod features Power Generation in forms of waterwheels, windmills, biodiesel and more and many of its machines are multiblocks! For all your documentation needs, you should look into this mods ingame documentation, the Engineer's Manual, crafted with a book and a lever.

MalisisAdvert by Ordinastie
The purpose of this mod is to allow server owners to have an advertisment system inside Minecraft world. It comes with a single (non craftable) block that admins can use to display an advertisement panel. The true power of the mod comes from the possibility to display any image available from the internet. First, an admin has to register and download images on the server. This is done with the command /malisisadvert which opens a GUI. There, he can add new adverts by specifying a name and an url. The server will download the image, and it will be available for the block. The block, when placed in world and right clicked, allows admins to select what advert to display for it. Different models are also available for block and selectable from the GUI.

NEI Integration by Tonius
NEI Integration is two things-- a playground to try out new types of Not Enough Items recipe handlers, and a place to put NEI handlers if I somehow can't get them into the mods they were made for. The mod aims to stimulate other mod developers to add NEI handlers to their own mods, and to help them make their own handlers easier by providing examples. Integration This is a list of the NEI handlers that are in the mod. Minecraft Forge (disabled by default) List of all registered Fluids and associated Fluid Containers Ore Dictionary usage handler Big Reactors Cyanite Reprocessor recipes Electrical Age Compressor, Macerator, Magnetizer and Plate Machine recipes Forestry Recipes of all of the processing machines and the mod's custom shaped crafting recipes MineFactory Reloaded Recipes of most machines that produce or consume fluids, and the Laser Drill (including which foci works on which ore) Pam's HarvestCraft Presser and Apiary recipes Railcraft Blast Furnace, Coke Oven, Rock Crusher and Rolling Machine recipes Other features NEI Integration includes some other features that can be useful to developers. OpenComputers by Sangar
This mod adds computers that can be programmed in Lua 5.2. Computers persist across saves (i.e. execution resumes where the computer was saved when it is loaded again), they are highly modular (there are graphics cards, network cards, redstone cards, ...). If a compatible power generating mod is present, by default they will need power to run - however, like pretty much everything else about the mod, this can be changed in the config.

PresenceFootsteps by Hurricaaane
Presence Footsteps is an overly complicated footstep sound enhancement mod for Minecraft. It changes the way footstep sounds are produced, in addition to a whole new set of sounds. Presence Footsteps adds new sound effects when Minecraft didn't play any sound at all, such as jumping, landing, walking on the edge of a block, foot shuffling when coming to a stop. It also plays sounds differently whenever you're running, and allows each block to be played in a different way: Metal fences does not sound like iron blocks; Walking over rails both plays a faint metallic sound and the surface below it; Walking on a piston pointing upwards sounds like wood.

Resource Loader by Lumien
This mod is meant to be used together with my other mods Custom Main Menu and Custom Backgrounds but it can be used with any other mod that can take resource locations for config options. It allows users to add their own resources to minecraft. While this would be possible using resource packs these resource packs would be visible in the resource pack window (Which the resources added by this mod aren't) and you can also just add resources to a simple folder which is easier then repackaging the resource pack every time.

1.7.10-V10d
RotaryCraft by reikas
RotaryCraft is a large "industrial-style" mod, akin to the likes of BuildCraft, IndustrialCraft, ThermalExpansion, and Minefactory Reloaded. Why "RotaryCraft"? The power transmission. Engines generate rotational power - torque and speed, with power being the product of the two - and it is transmitted by shafts, gearboxes, and other transmission devices to eventually reach the machines. RotaryCraft is designed to be as realistic as possible, using real machine specifications for power generation/consumption and real physical laws to govern the machines' behavior. For example, a hot machine will cool according to the laws of heat convection, shafts can handle torques up to what is allowed by their shear strength, and effects of excessive pressure or temperature must be considered.
1.0.0
RPG Advanced Mod by ProfMobius
RPGModAdv adds 3 types of items. Poles and wallsigns are used to create waypoints. Signs are then places on poles. When a sign is placed, you can choose a waypoint and the sign will automatically point toward the waypoint, showing the distance and the name of the waypoint (or a custom name is you wish so). Right clicking on a sign will display a "flypath" to the destination waypoint. It also adds some breadcrumbs (glowcrumbs) that will drop on the ground automatically (when in the hotbar). Breadcrumbs are only visible by the player dropping them, decay in ~1h and are visible in low light level. If a stack of breadcrumb is used on a sign, they will become linked. You can now walk to your destination following the path you want. Once you reach your destination, the path is set and right clicking on the sign will show the custom path instead of the "flypath". Custom path can be reinitialised by shift+right cliking the sign. 2 keybindings are included to clear the display of the path (Numpad 9) and hide/show the breadcrumbs (Numpad 8).

Ships Mod by Cuchaz
Ships mod lets you build a ship out of blocks and sail it around the Minecraft world! Other mods have attempted this in the past. Some of these projects have been abandoned, and in my opinion, the remaining ones leave something to be desired. Ships mod is my take on how I think sailing should work in Minecraft and this aims to be a high-quality and feature-rich mod.
