Install More Than Vanilla 1.12.2

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (More Than Vanilla 1.12.2) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select More Than Vanilla 1.12.2 from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

Welcome to More than Vanilla. This is a light-weight modpack mainly focusing on realism, Medieval-oriented gameplay . The core mods of the modpack are overhaul mod Better with Mods (Better than Wolves) and Tough as Nails.

Official server: It's a anarchy server meaning there are no rules (except cheating ofc) and that you can raid and be raided. There is no world border. Any form of exploiting/cheating will result in permament ban. You are being watched.

Main mods:

Better with Mods is a mod based around extending and enhancing vanilla Minecraft. BWM focuses on improving the core aspects of Minecraft through its three core modules. First is the Gameplay module which directly extends the gameplay of Minecraft through additional blocks, items, foods, and more. Next is the Tweak module which adds small quality of life and balance changes. Finally is the Hardcore module which directly changes the core balance of Minecraft. Tough as Nails is a survival mod that aims to increase difficulty through realistic features such as thirst, seasons and body temperature. Imgur

Immersive Engineering & addons it's about realism-inspired technology, Instead of glowing red tubes, it offers actual, hanging powerlines. Instead of one block that magically spits out dusts when ore is put in, it offers a crusher, a big multiblock (5x3x3) that features rotating wheels and spits out particles as it breaks the ore. Instead of a Laser that turns power into magical light and ores, it offers an Excavator, another massive, resource intensive, multiblock (3x7x8) which digs ores out of the ground with a big rotating bucketwheel. IE is about making tech mods more balanced and more pretty, and adding its own twist by going for retro-futurism rather than clinical white+grey future cubes. Imgur
