Install Legends of Arda

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (Legends of Arda) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select Legends of Arda from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

I have created this pack largely for my own enjoyment in my immense dislike of modpacks that profoundly change their platform on a whim. I wanted a pack that would allow me to independently develop a single player world over an extended period of time, and that is what I hope to provide for anyone who wants a similar experience. Note there is no "official server", however I am not opposed to independent servers being made based upon this pack. Of course, be sure to respect the mod authors, if you run a server, do not profiteer off of the work freely provided by others. I do not intend to radically change the mod list and will attempt to remain as true as possible to the world which Tolkien envisioned, while keeping the pack within the needs of a modded minecraft experience. Thank you for your time, consideration, and reading the fine print.

In particular I would like to thank Mevans and his team for all the work they have done on the LOTR mod itself, allowing us of the minecraft community to expericence some small part of Tolkien's world.

Of course, none of this would be possible without the devotion of the entire modding community, and I extend my sincerest thanks to everyone who puts in the time and effort into making the mods that make minecraft one of the largest games out there.
