Kingdoms of the Valley is a modpack that combines many popular mods such as: Create, Minecolonies, Twilight Forest and Blood Magic.

Create is a mod that adds many mechanical components and block variants to the game that can be used to create contraptions and automate processes using rotational power. You can build machines like windmills, water wheels, conveyor belts, pistons, gears, etc.

Minecolonies is a mod that lets you create your own colony with villagers who can perform various tasks for you like farming, mining, building, guarding, etc. You can also interact with them and customize their appearance and behavior.

Twilight Forest is a mod that adds a new dimension to the game that is filled with magic and mystery. You can explore forests with giant trees, mushrooms, fireflies, etc., find castles with bosses and treasures, encounter creatures like deer , bunnies , ravens , etc., and discover new biomes like dark forest , enchanted forest , snowy forest , etc.

Blood Magic is a mod that lets you harness the power of blood through various arcane methods. You can perform rituals, alchemy, summoning and spell creation with this forbidden magic. But be careful, every action has a cost and can be deadly. You can also explore new structures like dungeons and temples, where you can find loot and enemies, and encounter new items like runes, sigils and orbs.
The modpack also includes other mods that enhance the gameplay experience such as Quark (adds more features and improvements), Biomes O' Plenty (adds more biomes), JEI (shows recipes), etc

FORGE 1.18.2: In regards to Forge, the most recent version for 1.18.2 should be functional. However, if it causes an older mod in the modpack to malfunction, the version that is currently included with the modpack is forge-42.2.14.jar.
OPTIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS:
I'd personally recommend the use of Optifine (https://optifine.net/downloads)
(Be sure to select the 1.18.2) and some shaders if your system can handle them to bring out the best with this modpack and Minecraft.
