Install Not-basic GFP

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (Not-basic GFP) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select Not-basic GFP from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

This modpack is hosted on one of the best modifiable versions of MC, 1.12.2. Here are some things to know about the modpack:

  • There are many dimensions and rf tools dimensions (which allows custom dimension creation). There is Aroma's mining dimension and a neat dimension called the "Overworld Mirror"! These places are safe from parasites and can be used to grind without fear.
  • There is only CUSTOM EMC values (ProjectE), which were determined by one of my favorite mods: Alchemistry. The EMC value of each item in game was manually inputted and took much time. The EMC values were determined by the atomic number of the elements associated. So in this case, covalence is much more literal (in that it is electron-based, LOL).
  • All the configuration was manually set as well. Custom loot tables for infernal mobs, calibrated emc loss to be pro-exploitative when it comes to automation.
  • There is a hard-coded endgame! There is also technically a custom recipe for the tome of knowledge. I made Creative items earnable (but don't expect to do it easily)!
  • Most items have custom manually inputted EMC values. The end-goal is to have a value for each craftable/obtainable item.
  • There are guns, woohoo.
