Install EV.COMBAT

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (EV.COMBAT) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select EV.COMBAT from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

It is recommended to allocate at least 2 GB of memory in the launcher settings and to use the latest version of Java. This will ensure a stable gameplay and faster loading times. The first time you start the pack, it may need longer than the following times.

Evolved Combat is a Minecraft modpack based on Minecraft 1.12.2. It is our humble recreation of the famous Hexxit modpack but on a newer version of Minecraft. It ensures to deliver the same style of gameplay by implementing a collection of unique combat and battle modifications into the game. Alongside with some well known mods for adventure and discovery fun, it creates a challenging roleplaying modpack.

We ship our own resourcepack for the modpack, to enable features like the custom loading screen on startup. It does not contain textures for the game or mods. Feel free to create your own resourcepack for our modpack and share it with us via our Discord. It is always recommended to keep our shipped resourcepack on top, even if you want to use your custom made one. Otherwise some features wont work as intended.

We provide a Docker image for you to set up the server on your own infrastructure. You can either use the prebuilt image from Dockerhub or the Dockerfile from its Repository to build the image yourself. When doing so, you can specify the desired version via the build argument, as described following.

$ docker build . -t evc --build-arg "VERSION=1.40.0+642"

It is recommended to use the provided docker-compose.yml config to set up the container. Furthermore it contains all ports and volumes that should be bound.
