Install Energy Crisis

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (Energy Crisis) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select Energy Crisis from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

I have had a bunch of fun playing quest based modpacks with large quest books in harsh environments. The main idea of this pack was to try something different. This pack has no special map or environment you will start in a random world close to vanilla Minecraft and there is only one quest in the quest book to solve. Build a fusion reactor.

tech tree

The thing that limits you in this pack is not a quest tree of arbitrary tasks, a special map, or unlocking system. The challenge of this pack is that you need progressively more advanced technology to obtain the high tech materials you need.

mods

The base of the tech tree is a large Immersive Engineering factory, followed by a Magneticraft refinery for rocket fuel, Galacticraft rockets to mine in space, and finally a Mekanism fusion reactor.

gameplay

This pack is meant to be primarily a technology and building challenge. The mobs are not harder, the amount of ore has been increased. You can even solve the quest in peaceful mode if you want. You will be building a lot of large multi-block machines.
