Install Dimension Rift 2

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (Dimension Rift 2) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select Dimension Rift 2 from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

It's not working... When I try to run the modpack, it just closes the technic launcher, then opens it again. Wut do? As mentioned on the front page, you must first DELETE any previous version of the modpack if updating from a version before 2.0.

If that still doesnt work, go to your technic install location, e.g %appdata%/.technic/modpacks (for Windows), and delete the dimension-rift folder. Then install the pack again. Remember to backup saves if you wish.

When I try to join my old world, everything is messed up :(( This is because of a huge overhaul of mods and mod configs that came with the 2.0 update; you're better off making a new world. Don't worry though, you shouldn't have to do this again in the near future!

I'm getting a Java memory error when I try to run the server?! By default, the server is set to use 6GB of ram. If you don't have the RAM avaliable to do this, edit the run.bat file with a text editor and change the -Xmx and -Xms tags to the amount of memery you wish to allocate. Remember, never allocate all your memory, and values of around 4G should be sufficient to play on with a couple friends.
