Install Hydrocraft Reloaded

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (Hydrocraft Reloaded) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select Hydrocraft Reloaded from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

Hydrocraft Reloaded Version 1.9.2

created by DAT3NGY on Minecraft 1.7.10

Note: Starting with the 1.9.0 update, anyone who was running 1.8.10 or earlier will be prompted with a message when loading a world saying that there are mods missing and if you wish to proceed. If on the client click yes, or if on a server type /fml confirm. This will not corrupt your world in any way, it will just remove any Flans mod items or blocks from the world since Flans mod is no longer included in the modpack. If you get error messages in the chat then you have to go to Modpack Options in the launcher, then click on Open, find the scripts folder, and delete flansMod.zs

How to update the Hydrocraft Reloaded server:

IMPORTANT: Back up your world(s) and any other important files to a safe location! Neither we, or the mod authors are responsible for any damages or loss of worlds. This shouldn't happen but better safe than sorry.

Method 1 (easier but less convenient):

  1. Download the new server files.
  2. Copy the server.properties, TF2SentryTargetlist.txt, the world file, server files like ops.json, banned-ips.json, etc. and any config changes you've made that you don't want overwritten from your old server.
  3. Move the copied files to the new server and put them in their appropriate directory (ex. config files should be put in the config folder, etc). Keep a copy of your world/save file in a safe place.
  4. Launch the server. The server has now been updated.

Method 2 (slightly more complicated but more convenient):

  1. Download the new server files.
  2. Carefully read the changelog, only copy the mods and config from the downloaded server file if they have been updated or changed. If you are several versions behind, then copy all the changes in the other changelogs as well as the latest changelog. (ex. If the changelog says that Modular Powersuits has been updated to a new version, then copy Modular Powersuits from the downloaded server file).
  3. Move the copied files to your existing server files and make sure they are placed in their appropriate directory's (ex. updated mods should go into the mods folder and updated config files should go in the config folder). If Forge has been updated, make sure you also copy the Hydrocraft.jar and move it to your existing server.
  4. Delete the old versions of the mods you copied to the mods folder (ex. if you see that there are now two versions of the same mod, remove the one with the lower version number in order to prevent conflict problems). There is no need to do this with config files since the newer config files should replace the older ones when you move the config files to the config folder and select "Replace the file in the destination."
  5. Launch the server. The server has now been updated.

How do I launch the server?

  • If running on Windows, just double click on launch.bat and the server should start.
  • If running on Linux, you might have to right click on launch.sh and go to properties, then change the permissions to "Allow executing file as a program." Now you should be able to double click on launch.sh to start the server.

How do I migrate my server from KCauldron to Thermos?

  1. Once the Hydrocraft Thermos server is downloaded go to your KCauldron server and copy any world folders, and then any other file such as TF2SentryTargetlist.txt, ops.json, server.properties, banned-ips.json, banned-players.json, etc. Also make sure to back up the plugins folder if you have plugins installed on the server.
  2. Copy the config folder or scripts folder or other folders ONLY IF you made changes to them that you don't want to lose.
  3. Move the copied files to the Thermos server.
  4. If asked if you want to replace some files, click yes.
  5. Copy the world folder(s) to a safe location in case something goes wrong.
  6. Launch the server, everything should work fine.

Known bugs:

  1. Shift clicking items in Mekanism machines can cause glitchy behavior (seems to only happen in multiplayer), nothing major.
  2. Putting Nether Quartz Ore in a Macerator just outputs Nether Quartz Ore (Put it in an Enrichment Chamber or Pulverizer instead).
  3. Using the Power Converters Debug Probe can crash your Minecraft client. Only available in creative mode so this isn't too big of a deal.
  4. Some small graphical glitches can happen when managing your inventory. Nothing can be done to fix this.
  5. TF2 Teleporters can lose their links when KCauldron/Thermos server is restarted this can be fixed by placing a chunk loader or spot loader next to the teleporters (This bug might also affect teleposers).
  6. Pouring Resonant Ender bucket and picking it up again yields a Liquified Ender Bucket, (when you pour a Liquified Ender Bucket, it turns into Resonant Ender again).
  7. When you destroy a Mekanism machine or factory and upgrade it to the next tier, all items (except for upgrades) will be removed, take out the items before upgrading a machine to the next tier.
  8. When Sprint Assist/Walking Assist is enabled and you enter a teleporter, your powersuit may lose power. To workaround this issue, disable walking assist and always WALK when going in a Mekanism or IC2 Teleporter. Or you can set up wireless chargers on both sides of the teleporter to quickly recharge your suit.
  9. (Linux only) Attempting to make the game full screen doesn't work and minimizes it back to windowed screen. The only workaround is to keep the fullscreen option enabled and it should work when starting the game. However the problem with this is that you won't be able to tab out without it minimizing. Perhaps replacing LWJGL with a different version can fix this however this is too complicated for the average person and may not work. EDIT: It seems that this only happens on the 1.7.10 version of Minecraft, lets hope we can update the modpack to 1.10.2 or higher soon. A fix still hasn't been found.
  10. ~~Shift clicking coal into the fuel spot doesn't work and will instead place it in the smelting spot. Most likely due to Big Reactors adding Graphite ingots.~~ This is intentional behavior and nothing can be done to fix this. A workaround is to use different fuels.
  11. Using a lot of Forge Multipart blocks can cause a lot of lag to the client, this is due to the fact Forge covers, panels, and slabs don't actually act like real blocks therefore light and particle effects will be rendered by the client even when they're suppose to be out of view.
  12. In AE Terminals, there is a bug where you are sometimes unable to type the letter T in the search bar. The only workaround is to use the mouse to click on the search bar and then attempting to type the letter until it works.

Still need help? Report problems that you're having here. Change the branch to 1.X.X-/-Minecraft-1.7.10 and click on the tab called "Issues" and then click the button that says "New issue." Then describe the issue with the best of your ability and include many details. Include logs/crash reports if possible. If you report a bug and I am able to confirm it, I will forward the issue to the mod developers.

Latest Update

Ended support for Hydrocraft Reloaded 1.8.X except for 1.8.10 due to these versions being outdated and for taking up space on my Dropbox and Mediafire. All users MUST upgrade to 1.8.10 or greater if they have not done so yet.
