This past week has been a blur for us, what with the Blightfall teaser, Blightfall release, and now the Blightfall post-launch patch! But, that hasn't stopped us from working on the very next pack to come out! We hope you're ready because it's going to be out in the next few weeks!

Blightfall 2.1.1

Blightfall 2.1.1 is out, and it fixes a ton of questing bugs, typos, and adds some really great improvements to the game! The Spice of Life diminishing returns formula has been made more forgiving, the Spice of Life food buffer has been reduced from 250 haunches to 200, you get hungry slower than before, and we've changed the food requisition quest to give you a new type of food that is immune to diminishing returns! We've also added a new POI to the map that you will receive even on existing maps! Lastly, we've added a pair of cheats you can activate if you're uninterested in either the food game or Thaumcraft research. You can find these cheats on the top floor of The Jaded, but you'll need Op (or need to know an Op) and you will have to break some glass to get to it.

This is probably going to be our last update for a few weeks unless something goes wrong. We really hope you enjoy this post-launch pack update and if you haven't tried Blightfall yet, we hope you'll give it a shot. It's absolutely our favorite pack that we've made. Some Launcher Hotfixes

Shortly after the Blightfall release, we updated the launcher to v4.313. Here are the changes:

The launcher will no longer fail to relaunch on Macs due to the PATH being unavailable.
Fixed various crashes and issues with Twitch auth.

We also need to drive home the point that the Minecraft Twitch auth will not actually be fixed for you unless you uncheck "remember me" at the Technic login screen, and log in using your username and password once again.

I have been loving blightfall but the most recent update failed. I've since retried multiple times over this week and it reliably fails to get "commons-compress-v1.8.1.1 - Copy.zip"

When i download the mods, i have them but they wont work. When i try to open them they crash on me, i have a good computer, it has a lot of storage...so i dont know why it wont open

I'm quite dissapointed with Technic... I had to port my modpacks to another launcher because technic takes alot of time to apply the changes...

technic launsher does not want to work I hit play and it loads and after a wild it comes back to the main meny

i think that means there is something conflicting in the modpack therefore not launching it, but this is just a guess, you could look at the conflict file to see if anything is wrong

Yea, I'm pretty sure there's a different thing to post this on, But it says that I need 2GB When the only choices I have when I edit my ram for Technic, i can only choose 1GB, 768 GB, and 512 GB. How do I fix it so I can make it 2GB?

First off, If you can really chose 768 GB, you are not running windows 64 bit or 32 bit, those things are incompatible, I am assuming you meant MB and not GB. Secondly, that issue is with your java version, make sure you have 64 bit java and that it is up to date, you may be better off reinstalling it from the site.

Hey technic you know what would be nice if you could change it back to where all modpacks can be played on 32 bit because i dont have the $ to upgrade my pc so in the end i cant play any mods please do that alot of people have this problem you would have a much larger community if you did.

If they did that, it would make it a lot less fun for everyone who had 64-bit. If you really can't upgrade then your choices are going to be limited, because you have a very poor pc. They would in fact end up with a much smaller community, because most of the people who play video games on their pc have 64 bit.

Came to see the ads you mentioned in this update, then remembered your AdSense ads and my AdBlock. Turned off AdBlock to see your ads- and was confronted with an adsense banner and an adsense sidebar ad right at the top - had to scroll all the way down to comments to see your in-house advertising experiment. Adblock going back on, because I really don't like off topic ads on a site like this - but I hope your inhouse advertising works out so you can remove the adsense all together. Keep us updated! If you reemove AdSense I'll gladly disable adblock on this site :)
