Tekkit 1.2.8c has been promoted to Recommended!

Tekkit 1.2.8c has been promoted to Recommended, and you'll soon be seeing prompts to upgrade your pack.

The server is available for download here.

This is a significant upgrade from a bug-fix perspective.  Many Atomic Science/MFFS bugs have been squashed and improvements made.  Those annoying broken commands are now working, and a good number of client crashes have been eradicated.

Big Reactors has had a massive update this version as well!

While no issues have been reported with upgrading to this build, it never hurts to back up your current worlds, just in case.

  • Forge Multipart has been updated to build 250
  • Atomic Science has been updated to 1.2.0.63
  • Big Reactors has been updated to 0.3.0A
  • Calclavia Core has been updated to 1.2.0.299
  • Chicken Chunks has been updated to 1.3.3.4
  • CodeChickenCore has been updated to now 0.9.0.9
  • Dimensional Doors has been updated to 2.2.2RC1-311 release
  • Enderstorage has been updated to 1.4.3.6 release
  • Galacticraft has been updated to 2.0.11.978
  • MFFS has been updated to 3.6.2.56
  • NEI has been updated to 1.6.1.9
  • OpenModsLib has been updated to 0.3
  • OpenPeripherals is 0.3.2 and OpenPeripheralsAddons is 0.1.2
  • Project Red has been updated to 4.3.2.26
  • Wireless Redstone CBE has been updated to 1.4.0.7
  • FMP has been updated to build 250

I recommend updating all mods and configs on 1.2.7 servers.

Minor update to Tekkit published today (v1.2.7b)

Two config changes:

  • Disabled extraneous Treecapitator debug logging
  • Fixed another Equivelant Exchange config case sensitivity issue on the client-side

Server owners can simply copy the new treecapitator.cfg into their config folder, overwriting the existing .cfg, or not change anything if you don't mind the occasional debug message in your logs.

Updated server download can be found here.

Tekkit 1.2.6b Is Now Recommended

Tekkit 1.2.6b is an emergency client-side build to fix the mismatched mod ids in Equivalent Exchange 3.  There is no need to update servers from 1.2.6, this is a client-only fix.

Enjoy!

Tekkit 1.2.6 (Minecraft 1.6.4!) recommended build is live.

The Tekkit 1.6.4 build (1.2.6) has been promoted to Recommended.

Server files are available here.

Please backup your existing worlds before upgrading; loading a Tekkit 1.1.X world will NOT end well. A fresh start/new world is HIGHLY recommended, and although this should go without saying, I'll say it anyway: BACKUP YOUR FILES!

This release brings updated versions of almost all of the core Tekkit mods: Galacticraft, Atomic Science, Modular Power Suits, Minefactory Reloaded, Computercraft, Buildcraft, Thermal Expansion, and others.

We have lost a few friends along the way; Simple Power Storage, an Obsidian Plate, and Custom Lan Ports are the notable mods we've retired.

Weep not for what was, however; instead, let us celebrate what is to come! This release adds some fun and extremely useful new mods: Project Red, Big Reactors, Carpenter's Blocks, Waila, Vending Block, Extra Utilities, Redstone In Motion, and Wireless Redstone CBE (among others) are now included for your mining pleasure.

Technic Launcher Build #411 Now Stable

The Technic Launcher, build #411 has now been marked at stable. Users will automatically download the new version the next time they start the launcher.

Release notes since Build #395:

  • A new system of file validation has been implemented. Every file we download from the launcher can now be validated in some manner, which should ensure that the launcher can find and correct bad downloads. This should fix cases in which a download failed halfway through, permanently screwing up a launcher or modpack install.
  • Litemods will now be cleared alongside jar and zip mods during a version update or pack reset.
  • A new optional 'javaArguments' field has been added to our object model of the version.json file. This new field is a text string in which modpack authors can add java runtime arguments to add to their pack startup command. Please remember that the edited version.json file needs to be inside the root of modpack.jar.
  • We now correctly handle a rare case in which Mojang would mistakenly issue a null response to a refresh request on a legacy user.
  • It is no longer possible to open the modpack cogwheel menu until sufficient information has loaded for the modpack.
  • Switching to manual build select in the modpack cogwheel menu for packs in which the pack's solder server is mistakenly not sending a proper build list will no longer crash the launcher.
  • Users with an unusual tekkit classic installation directory will no longer crash when starting up tekkit classic.
  • An index out of range exception will no longer sometimes occur when adding a pack to the launcher right as a user navigates the modpack selector.
  • The image cache loading code will no longer occasionally crash the launcher on startup.
  • An invalid installed packs list will no longer sometimes crash the launcher on startup.
  • Made various code quality improvements (zeuslightning125).
