Install Vanilla

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (Vanilla) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select Vanilla from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

How do you get your skin working? My regular minecraft doesnt work so I use this but now my skin is just steve. Is that normal?

The reason for vanilla minecraft is so that you can begin a mod pack or play with the jars and if you fail you can just re-download it and it is a great start for beginner coders of modders so it should be there with all versions for older or abandoned mods that dont be updated.
