unable to launch it now, was working fine a few minutes ago. im launching it on java 8 update 40 64 bit on 2 Gb of ram can anyone help? my friend cant launch it either

Take out the following files PML-Mojang_MCP-1.0.pmlm, .DS_Store, PML-DEV_MCP-1.0.pmlm, 1.7.10-TheSeasonsMod-pre-3.0beta4.pmlm. This will fix your game but the seasons mod won't work as the seasons mod is the reason for the crash.

So I have been trying to get onto the game for a while. After knowing I needed Java 8 64-bit I downloaded it, reinstalled the pack, and tried to join it. However every time I try, it crashes and goes back to the launcher. I have seen other people with this problem also. I dont know if its my client or if its some bug. If anyone has any suggestions to help me please do!

Cannot open game. Launcher dissapears like it should, but reappears shortly after. Game is not launched. Help would be appreciated.
can the Utility Mobs be added to this pack?
Okay I think I figured out what I left out... Take out the following files PML-Mojang_MCP-1.0.pmlm, .DS_Store, PML-DEV_MCP-1.0.pmlm, 1.7.10-TheSeasonsMod-pre-3.0beta4.pmlm. I have gotten the server to work and a new single player world to load. This may cause issues with worlds that have already been generated, however, I haven't got a clue on wether that is fact or not. I left the seasons mod out of the last post because it went to a different part of my desktop for some reason so when I was writing the post I forgot to include it.
This effectively removes the seasons mod though correct?
Yes it does but the seasons mod is the problem
Hopefully the creator fixes this seasons issue... i was looking forward to that part

Also, you don't actually need to delete the .ds store in order for the game to work

Yeah, I completely understand. Great job figuring this out though, seriously.
I made a server and spawned in the world but when I press "E" nothing happens. The achievement "taking inventory" pops up but my inventory doesn't. It works in singleplayer but not on my server. I have tried changing the key but that didn't work either. Can someone help?

Strange, I just downloaded the server files to test and it seems to be working fine for me?
Might I suggest using copy.com instead of dropbox? had to rip out the PML stuff for the server pack to run, hoping it won't cause any issues

If anybody else can start the game by following the method scarycreepa described but can't start a single player world, please say so in a reply

Exactly my issue, I've been trying to start a world for a while after using scarycreepa's method, but it crashes when I try to start one. However, I can now get to the title screen.
Man, I wish I could see a crash report but I doubt discussion will let that happen. Also I love that I can give something a little closer to getting the game to work but the author is like "whatever"

Well I can say I've never been "hailed" by anyone before.
Okay I have figured out the problem... Remove the files PML-Mojang_MCP-1.0.pmlm, .DS_Store and PML-DEV_MCP-1.0.pmlm This is of course a temporary work around for people having this problem. (I have no idea what these files do)
I just tried this and can verify that deleting these files will in fact start your game. However, I (like scarycreepa) am unsure what these files are included for and whether or not they are needed.
I am actually having some trouble starting a single player world though. But this could very well just be my pc.

Well it's not just me who can't launch then. Taking a look at the log (as no crash report is generated) it looks like this link is the problem (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/39kgsto4jw0ho0s/obf_downloads.txt) It can't download this because of the dropbox account generating too much traffic. Also there is a lot about Wetherpony who I assume has something to do with the seasons mod.
i replied below saying that was the issue.
Oh sorry. but it's not only the server (which is somewhat implied by the post)
Well it looks like a lot of people are still having the same problems and there has not been a fix yet (other then the Java 64bit update which did not help). I guess everyone having this problem is going to have to be patient until it is finally fixed

When I click Play, closes the launcher and after some time opens the launcher again.
