Install The Pack From Hell

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (The Pack From Hell) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select The Pack From Hell from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

The Pack From Hell (TPFH) is a primarily Tech oriented modpack with elements of magic. It is rumored that it's creators sold their souls to clear all the lag.

TPFH is inspired by modpacks like Tekkit Classic and FTB Infinity Evolved. While I enjoyed using these packs, I felt like something was missing. I would often get large amounts of lag (I have a good computer), and a lot of my favorite mods were missing. My goal with this pack is to run a heavily modded, optimized, and well-balanced game.

So far, I seem to have succeeded. I can run The Pack From Hell on my laptop at around 30-45 fps. FTB Infinity runs at 20 fps. I have also had similar reports from my beta testers. Dedicated gaming pc's tend to run the pack at upwards of 100-150 fps while lower end computers and laptops tend to run at around 30 fps or higher.

Read the help section for a few tips on how to get the pack to run faster. I have included custom JVM arguments to run Minecraft that tend to increase framerate by around 20 fps.
