Install Mooseworks

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (Mooseworks) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select Mooseworks from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

Installation and Performance:

  • If you are not able to log-on to a server, try fully uninstalling, then reinstalling the modpack. Especially if you have recently updated modpack versions. (Stops the "Missing blocks" error on joining a server)

  • If you are unable to launch the game, are experiencing lag or low FPS, do the following:

  1. Within the launcher screen, open “Launcher Options” (gear in the upper right corner)
  2. click on “Java settings”
  3. Ensure you have Java 8 installed
  4. Set “Memory” (RAM) to 3 GB*
  5. Click on the “Video Settings” tab and set “Stencil Buffer” to "Disabled"
  6. Close this window and start the game

*If you are unable to select more than 1GB of memory (RAM), then you have the 32-bit version of Java installed. To enable use of more memory, install Java’s 64-bit version from HERE

Recommended Launcher Settings:

  • Java 8 64-bit
  • Memory (allocated RAM): Between 3 and 6 GB
  • Stencil Buffer: Enabled* *Use "Disabled" if you are getting low FPS.
  • On Pack Launch: Close Launcher
  • Launcher Build: Stable Stream
