I made this help page for those of you having trouble playing with the Iguana's Tinker Tweaks.
You need to either turn on bonus chests to get a "Starter Pickaxe" or "Starter Axe" or build a Crafting Table and dig up some gravel. The configs are set up by default to get you 1 flint for 2 gravel.
But you can use flint with a pickaxe pattern (Combined with a wooden tool rod (A standard stick works, too) and a wooden tool binding) to get a good starting pickaxe that you can upgrade parts on. (Now, you can upgrade the "Starter" tools. But they'll remain just that "Starter 'tool'", they're names won't change.)
