Download doesn't work , says it cant download Baubles-1.7.10-1.0.1.10.jar from dropbox - a shame as this pack looked great

finally a magic modpack with witchery!
Given that there isn't like 100 mods, have you considered doing ProjectE? (The EMC value, equivalent exchange mod) Since there isn't a large abundance of mods it wouldn't be too time consuming to add values to a lot of items
for example: i found 1 squid and it dropped 1 inc sack in roughly 2 straight hours of searching so now i only have the 1 inc sack and if i want to do Ars Magica II i basically can't since you need a few inc sacks to make spells

Just so it's in the discussion section as well, the downloads for client (via launcher) and server are fixed now. The file hosting provider I was using (copy.com) went out of business. I updated a few minor issues (a slight difference in client vs server files) and put it up on dropbox. They're pretty unlikely to go out of business any time soon, so we should be good.

Well we've hit well over half a thousand downloads. I'm glad to see so much support for the pack. If anyone has any requests for additions to the modpack, please don't hesitate to post them. If they fit the theme of the pack and aren't absolutely game-breaking, I'd be happy to add them in.
Just no one ask for EE3, I tried to add it into the original release, but there were complications when trying to update the server version to include it

So I've encountered a problem with it going completely dark to the point where I cant see at night.

The complete darkness you are experiencing is called the "HardcoreDarkness" mod. It makes it so that lighting is realistic i.e. no minimal light level. This means that night time and unlit areas (like caves) will be completely black.
If you don't like this feature, you can change the settings in your config folder. You could set "I:Mode=1" in the config to make it so that the moon still casts light, though caves will still be pitch black.
Keep in mind the modpack is saved under the name "testingpack13371337" ... I know, haha funny ... I just don't know how to change that, if it's even possible. It seems that the first name you make for a pack is permanent.

it wont let me download it i have no idea what to do i want to play it so bad it looks amazing can anyone help me it wont let me download anything on here or the launcher any advice i've uninstalled it and reinstalled it and restarted my computer and everything

if you're looking for it in the modpacks folder, I had this as a placeholder name "testingpack13371337" (I've found no means to change the directory name, sadly). What does it do when you click install (and make sure you're selecting to install the most up-to-date version; since I don't have solder working at the moment, only the most up to date download works). Also (I just have to ask) you did actually pay for minecraft, right? it won't let you download packs unless you're already payed for the game ... If it still doesn't work, I can personally send you a copy of the zip through email or dropbox. You'd just have to extract it to the modpacks folder and restart the launcher for it to detect it.

Just so everyone knows, I don't have a dedicated server for this modpack yet (that takes money), so it's up to you players to host if you so choose (the server download is on the overview page). If you, like I, don't want to pay for hosting a server, you can host it on your own computer, but there's some obvious limitations there.
If enough people want me to set up a dedicated server for everyone, there'd have to be donations, which I assume most of you would find distasteful, though it's always an option if you so choose.
