Hey guys! I'm a helper for our lovely mod pack! Some of y'all have DM'd me on Discord in regards to being unable to install the mod. We've (temporarily) disabled downloads due to issues with IRL as well as some other issues. If you didn't have the modpack installed previously before we closed downloads, you won't be able to install.
We plan to have our modpack back open to the public so everyone can enjoy their HTTYD fantasy dreams! We thank you all for your patience with us in this time! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact me on the Discord server (@Akirta).

Quick question, if you guys are planning on opening it again would it just mean allowing downloads or the dragonverse server too? Thanks
For anyone trying to download the pack, you won't be able to. Its unavailable to people who didnt have the game downloaded before the dev switched it. The dev is taking a break I believe

On the offchance you haven't figured it out yet, you may need to migrate your account from Mojang to Microsoft. They've recently forced this upon everybody I'm sorry to say. I hope it's all worked out!

The original developers of the dragon fire mod didn't want to loose money so they did a vote to either remove single player or stay 2 months behind updates and the majority was remove single player.
A vote on our official Discord server has concluded, the community majority has spoken! We're going to keep going how we are, only allow playtime on the server, and not on Singleplayer. In turn we'll keep DragonFire up to date, by updating the mod every 2 months to the latest version. We're about to update very soon, so we can only hope that this version of DragonFire has fixed some horribly concerning issues it once had on a large technical scale. If Tiny Turtle and his team have not fixed what gravely needed to be fixed, we'll be forced to shut down, as a server like this just cannot survive on a very broken mod..
A newer version of DragonVerse will be constructed most likely in the future. We plan to use Isle of Berk, for Minecraft version 1.14.4. This mod seems to be built a lot better than DragonFire, and keeps with the style of models we honestly prefer. Less lag, and just by looking at it.. I can say pretty confidently that it'll have less bugs to go along with it. That's all for now, thank you for reading.

I would... also like to iterate here that uh.. It's free. Yeah uhm.. Isle of Berk is a free mod. Not payed monthly. So uh.. yeah we like that too. :) They're not breaking any rules.
I have this installed but everytime i try to open it the game just closes out and I have tried several times and failed

Please join our Discord for further support on the issue. From what I can tell by the sentence alone, it could be a RAM issue. Make sure you have at least 5 GB of the stuff allocated to the Launcher.
add the single player option back I had a world that I worked very hard on

Also uhm.. the server's up now. We were just in maintenance for a couple days.
Still doesn't work, but I'm not playing the pack on a server anyways... I hate servers, so I will be leaving it once my private pack is done... Don't take it personally, I just don't like playing with a lot of people much

There are many reasons we can't do that. I'll try to go over them here.
For one, we were staying 4 months behind on updates, which means any content you guys see in the newer videos, or even the wiki, aren't going to apply to the server. This move was to keep the devs off of our backs, and to not hinder the mods growth on Patreon.
So after endless amounts of people telling us to update to the latest version of the mod, practically demanding it.. I've decided to do so. But the cost is that we're losing Singleplayer. THIS move here is, again, to keep the devs off our backs since they don't very much like us to begin with. We needed to do something to hinder ourselves so we don't look like "the bad people who are just poaching the mod.". On top of this, we've hidden the mod file so people cannot poach it themselves, as well as removing key item recipes from the mod itself. Again, all just to stay in relatively good standings with the devs.
Contact me on Discord if you have further questions about this issue. Keep in mind though.. We're literally brining this MONTHLY paid mod to you guys.. for free.. Just sayin', it gets old, we get a ton of this on our Discord server.
why when I download it there is no Dragonfire mod? and when I checked the file there was no dragonfire mod.

We hide the DragonFire mod, people aren't meant to be able to pull it out of the modpack and use it for whatever they want. This blocks people from being able to copy us/become competitors/effect the development of the DragonFire mod.
Users were downloading this modpack and only pulling out the mod, never touching it again. This move helps us say "Hey, you can't just pull out the mod and use it for whatever you want! We're not a vessel for DragonFire, we're an entire modpack and server."
We're obligated to protecting the mod and its use anyway as the devs don't even like that DragonVerse exists anyway.

You might have been trying to join as we were working on the server. If it's not online, it either crashed or you need to wait a bit while we're in maintenance. I strongly recommend joining our Discord.

We're don't have an exact date as of yet, kind of just working on polishing up the server and ridding it of issues first before we go and add a whole new set of horrible bugs. (The DragonFire devs love their bugs.)
