Missing Textures:
Turn off texturepacks and shaderpacks.

Lag:
1. Press F8 and disable all the settings, extra grass, extra leaves and so on.
2. Disable animations in settings.
3. Turn the render distance down.
4. Go to the quality setting and turn it down.

"Try Restarting Your Game":
This is a fairly common thing people see when trying to connect to the server. But when they restart their game it says it again. The fix to this is to restart the whole technic launcher.

Mod Rejections:
If you try to join the server and it kicks you for mod rejections it means the server has mods that your game does not. Try updating or reinstalling the modpack.
