Install Aether I

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (Aether I) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select Aether I from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

Hey theres an issue with lava and water textures. none of them appear to be showing, idk why this is. ive installed optifine 1.2.5 A into the mods folder but that didnt change it aside from just making water blue, but changing texture packs returns it back to no textures. what do I do?

The modpack download problems have been solved! Why was this an issue? In September, Dropbox ended its public folder support (that's how I distributed modpacks since 2013). I transferred the files to host on my own website, but it had a very limited bandwidth, so the files stopped working once the limit was hit (which was usually in the first week of each month) Now, they are back on dropbox because I figured out how to change the link to work with Technic! So hopefully that fixes the issue. I'm really glad to see so many people are enjoying this modpack. The original Aether was discontinued just before I started playing with mods (I started modding in 1.3). I was sostoked to find this legendary mod, I just had to share it! I have another modpack that has a server to go along with it (which has a 1.12 port of Aether I) that I've been running for 4 years, so give it some love! I fixed this. This was because dropbox ended support for the public folder, the only reason I got it in the first place :/

Okay, I got an problem (Dont know if its general or Just this modpack) When i try to run it dosent do anything, The modfolder is also empty... SO yeah HELP i freaking love this mod!

The mods folder is empty because the Aether I was before forge/modloader was widely used. It is directly installed in the .jar (utilized in bin/modpack.jar) Though I don't know why it won't work, you may need to accolate more RAM in the technic launcher

through lots of editing, I figured out all I had to do was remove your version of optifine and add in the latest 1.2.5 optifine ultra from the optifine website, if you would like my file to replace it, just ask me
