Minecraft: Galactic Conquest Version 1.6

Hey guys, it’s Clyde, I’m one of the major developers for the server project currently known as Galactic Conquest. We are still in closed beta, and while our modpack is now public, the test server info is available only for Official Tester members on our discord. The basic plan for this modpack is to create a totally unique space experience in minecraft on a level no other server or private modpack has achieved before.

Our modpack “orbits” around the warpdrive mod, a highly complex mod in which players can traverse a custom defined galaxy in even more customized ships. These ships can be equipped with everything from lasers to mining quarries and are truly incredibly in their functionality. You can visit an incredible array of planets each based around a dimension, thus offering you numerous playing styles and experiences based on the current planet you are in.

However, most servers with this mod tend to fail due to the mods immense complexity. Many players aren’t able to grasp the mod before the rudimentary ship they fly is hunted down by stronger and more knowledgeable players. The goal of our server is to provide all players with access to an incredibly wide range of premade and fully functional ships, thus evening the field. To truly enforce this we have made it so that certain critical blocks cannot be added or removed from ships, so no you can’t add 100 lasers to your starter shuttle, nor can your top tier flagship ever totally lose its crucial equipment.

We’ve taken a great deal of time to really flesh out 5 unique factions, each of which has over 6 types of ship for you to use (shuttle, frigate, cruiser, battleship, flagship, space station). Your faction determines your gameplay experience, your teammates, the types of ships you can access, and more - and each of these factions fights for supremacy in the Galactic War.

That’s right, we ambitiously aim to implement a Star Wars battlefront style war in which players will be able to smash their fleets (and the fleets of their allies) together before landing their invasion forces. There are plenty of guns, explosives, and tactics you can use on either warfield.

So will you be a bold explorer? A ruthless leader? A feared admiral? A respected scientist? A dirty space hobo bumming in the cargo hold of a flagship? It’s all totally up to you on Galactic Conquest.

With how awesome this all is in mind, we remind you that we are currently still in an early testing phase, but will be accepting applications for accessing our test server as well as keeping you updated with all the latest updates. We are also interested in staff applications of anyone with great experience with plugins, the warpdrive mod, or building.
