Install The VanillaQuest Initiative

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (The VanillaQuest Initiative) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select The VanillaQuest Initiative from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

Welcome to the VanillaQuest Initiative! In this vanilla-focused HQM map, players will be guided through regular minecraft. This pack is for anyone who has either never played minecraft or is looking for some direction while playing. The only mods are HQM (for questing and guidance purposes), Lockdown (to ensure that the same world is generated every time), and CustomNPCs (for a few easter eggs). Everything else about the map is pure vanilla! Tackle dungeons, dethrone a slime king, kill the twin ender dragons and much much more!

You're a part of something bigger now! So get out there and make the VanillaQuest Initiave proud!

One of the quests requires you to build a pen for your animals. During my playtest this is what I wound up building. Feel free to take inspiration from the pics or do your own thing! Tweet some screenshots of your builds @thedrumkid92. I'll add them to the gallery below!

I'm sketching out environments for VanillaQuest Initiative 2! I'm making a more engaging storyline instead of a step-by-step. It'll be more geared towards those of you who finished the first one. I'll keep you all updated as my creative process continues!
