Install The Rainy Zoologist

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (The Rainy Zoologist) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select The Rainy Zoologist from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

Be aware that with so many animal mods, some mobs might repeat. Example: there is a mod called Rats, which adds helpful rats, and a mod called Mo' Creatures, which features a rat mob. These rats will act differently. HWYLA shows the mod which each mob is under the name, so make sure to use the features that correlate to the repective mod mob (tongue twister). Let me know in the discussion thread if there is a conflict between mods I was unable to catch.

Beginner Tips: Start a mob grinder as soon as possible. They shouldn't be too hard to find. Experience is used early on for leveling up skills and it provides a safe way to kill blight mobs, which drop heart containers to gain more health.
