Install Sparkz

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (Sparkz) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select Sparkz from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

Sparkz Version 3.3.1

created by MeanTomatoes on Minecraft 1.7.10

Crashing on startup? Here are some things to check. You'll need to allocate at least 3 GB of RAM in the launcher options if you haven't already. If you can only allocate 1GB, you have 32-bit Java. If your computer's processor is only capable of 32-bit, you won't be able to install 64-bit Java which is required to allocate more RAM, so you likely won't be able to run the pack. There is a Lite variant on Technic if you're interested. If your current Java is 32-bit but your processor is capable of 64-bit and your operating system is 64-bit (both need to be 64-bit concurrently), just get the 64-bit version of Java and uninstall all other Java versions. Either Java 7 or 8 should work. Then, allocate at least 3 GB in the launcher settings; 4 GB or more is recommended, especially with a texture pack. If Sparkz refuses to launch after pressing play, you probably don't have enough free RAM, so try closing some background programs.

If the pack is just generally running slow, that can't be helped much. Some cosmetic mods such as Better Foliage sacrifice performance for looks, but some can be changed. For example, with Better Foliage, you can access the menu with F8 and turn off specific settings or the mod entirely. Fastcraft, Optifine and Better FPS are already in the pack, and they all provide optimizations simultaneously. There is also Sparkz Lite pack on the Technic platform that you can try.

If you're crashing when you interact with something in a certain way, or your world is now corrupted, shoot me an email at [email protected]. Crash reports are located at %appdata%/.technic/modpacks/sparkz/crash-reports (on Windows systems), so upload the most recent file.
