Install Ren-Box 1.7.10

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (Ren-Box 1.7.10) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select Ren-Box 1.7.10 from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

IMPORTANT: Before starting the Modpack, make sure you're running a 64-bit version of Java in the launcher, and YOU MUST allocate minimally 2 GB, recommended 4 GB of RAM in the launcher options for the best experience.

NOTE: Due to the massive amount of mods in this modpack, it does take a while for it to load! So do have patience! If you do come across a black screen, fret not as the game is loading all the mods, and has not crashed. Give it 5 to 7 minutes. Report crashes (if any) on the Discuss thread.

Some Keys:

F12 to customize player Models

E or I for inventory

X for big map

Backspace to set waypoints

Ctrl to zoom

H for Hats

P to toggle Farts

Backslash () to open Minions menu

Enter (return) for Wiki

Troubleshooting steps:

  1. Make sure you have the latest version of Java (8 is fine). Uninstall ALL older versions, including any 32-bit versions you have.

  2. Make sure your version of Java is 64-bit (32-bit will cause major problems and lag)

  3. In the Technic launcher, make sure to allocate 2-4 GB of RAM to the game for the best experience. If you can't allocate more than 1GB, it means you have a 32-bit Java installation.

  4. If the game does not start even after 7 minute (or crashes), check the above steps again and try adding this to Java arguments (Args) in the Technic launcher options: "-Dforge.forceNoStencil=true" without the quotation marks.

  5. If game still does not work, in Launcher options, Click "show console" and pinpoint to exactly where the game crashes and contact me on this thread. If possible, diagnose it yourself first.

  6. If game launches but you experience major lag, go to settings and adjust the video setitngs accordingly. You can reduce graphic demands and increase optimisations there.

  7. If game crashes, don't worry as these crashes usually won't repeat themselves in a row. Launch the game again and your world should be saved exactly where it crashed.

  8. If a fatal crash occurs and multiple attempts to relaunch the world fails and crashes again immediately, it means you have a corrupted world. One way to fix corrupted worlds is to download MCEdit, a word editor, and open your world using that program. Then, try playing around a bit and your world should work again the next time you launch it.
