Install The Pixelmon Mod

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (The Pixelmon Mod) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select The Pixelmon Mod from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

Hey, I was wondering where the Pixelmon music went. The remove vanilla music option in the Mod config is gone. Is it that the composer asked to remove his pieces from the game or am I missing something? I am currently using the PixelSpark modpack which I assume uses the same base pixelmon file as this.

Yup, it was a request from the artist. We're looking into getting new custom-made music, but no guarantees there just yet.

Click the "View Normal Minecraft Server Window" button at the bottom of the Multiplayer list. It's a bit hidden, should be fixed soon from what I've seen.

Your resolution is too low to display the whole window, the option is off-screen. Try this: close the game, and in Technic click Modpack Options > Open > navigate to the "mods" folder > delete the CustomMainMenu file. That should fix it until this issue is fixed on the mod's end.

Go to the minecraft home screen in the technic launcher mod and go to: options --> graphics --> GUI scale and change it to auto

Please keep all of your platforms up to date. I cannot seem to locate the latest version (6.2.3b) of the mod on your website. Additionally, it would be great to keep the old versions in Technic so that people can roll back for legacy purposes.

6.2.3 is still the latest version of Pixelmon, 6.2.3b is just a pack update on here with newer Forge and TCG versions. Generally, actual Pixelmon updates would get a new version number. You can also check the Changelog page to see what exactly changed. As for the old versions, I vaguely recall that requiring Solder integration. I'm not entirely sure there, but that might still be coming at some point.

hey I'm trying to start a server and I am using aternos cause I don't got money but it doesn't go up to 6.2.3b and I cant switch version so mod creator plz make it so me and my friends can switch our versions to 6.2.3 thanks!.... if u can let me know...

6.2.3 is latest, so if you've got that you should be fine. 6.2.3b was just a pack update on here, with a newer Forge and the TCG 3.0.0 update. If the host does not offer 6.2.3 yet, it's probably best for you to contact their support directly.

Hello Pixelmon Reforged Development Team, I have recently started using this mod for my Minecraft and, I need to say that I am quite impressed. I haven’t updated since the last version of Pixelmon came out before the whole problem with Nintendo tried to shut it down, and only found out about Reforged until a few weeks ago. It feels good to see the PokeDex filled with all the pokemon until Gen 6. But, as of recent, I have spotted a few bugs or errors that probably need to be fixed. For some of these I am not sure if it is a bug or it’s just in development, I will mention them anyways. Here I go; •Bugs/Errors (I think anyways)•: • Sometimes if I evolve a Pokemon, my whole world glitches out and all blocks disappear visually, so It will look like that my character is walking on air. The only way I could find to fix this was to break blocks around me and small chunks would reappear, so I would have to walk around and break blocks in different spots until my world goes back to normal again. However, this doesn’t happen all the time, I’d say about 3 out of 10 % of times it happened. • Heatmor seems to float or hover over the ground when walking. • Whenever Unfezant spawns in naturally in the sky, it gets stuck and doesn’t move. It uses its flying animation but doesn’t actually move. This doesn’t happen if you spawn it manually though. • The fire part of Darmanitans texture seems wrong? • Weird little spots (I assume glitches) on Liepards texture? • Inkay and Malamar are missing stomach textures? (It’s just white where the stomach should be) • Greninja is missing its Halloween/Special texture. • Clauncher, Clawtizer, Bergmite, Avalugg, Diggersby, Honedge, Doubleade, Aegislash, Tympole, Palpitoad, Seismitoad, Durant, Yamask, Cofagrigus, Scraggy, Scrafty, Klefki, Druddigon, Drilbur, Excadrill, Blitzle, Zebstrika, Lilligant, Tynamo, Eelektrik, Eelektross, Elgyem, Beheeyem, Cubchoo, Beartic, Shinx and Luxray all have 3D models but no animations. • When I create a new world (In Creative, didn’t try Survival), I have the same pokemon in my team from the previous world. Not sure if it was on purpose or? • Hoopa (Normal form) hovers way too high off the ground, I can’t even see it without looking up unless it’s Microscopic or pygmy. •Suggestions•: • Please make new models for Pyroar Female and Diancie, I don’t mean to offend anyone but, these two look… rushed and crappy compared to other Pokemon models like the Male Pyroar and new Megas. • Pokemon that should be ridden (I know it’s under development but these are just suggestions) Skiddo, Gogoat, Goodra, Sawsbuck, Tyrantrum, Xerneas, Aurorous, Cobalion, Virizion, Terrakion, Haxorus, Zektrika, Zygarde, Volcanion & Stoutland for Land. Garchomp I’m not sure about if land or flying since Garchomp can fly. Dragalge for Water. Dialga, Palkia, Arceus, Yveltal, Talonflame, Kyurem, Zekrom, Reshiram, Genesect, Mandibuzz, Hydreigon, Druddigon & Unfezant for Air. •Questions: • • Will you guys be adding the new Gen 7 Pokemon? I would assume not, but I just wanted to make sure. Well, that’s it for my bug report. Despite all that I have mentioned above, I still love this mod and always look forward to new updates. For the world going invisible, that sounds like an old vanilla 1.12.2 issue. Install a 64-bit copy of Java 8, and then up your allocation a bit (Launcher Options > Java Settings > Memory). Halloween Greninja shoooould be fixed for 6.3 already. I'll ask about the "same Pokémon across multiple worlds" thing, but I thiiiink that's intended. Will also ask about Hoopa's hover. (1/3)

I'm not sure about female Pyroar and Diancie, but that might be something worth bringing up in the Discord. Pokémon riding should be coming, don't think any of the new Pokémon have that set correctly just yet. Might be worth copying that onto the Discord and tagging Matt, though -- he might be able to do something with those specific suggestions. Generation 7 is coming, too. Looking to be in the next update after 6.3, if nothing goes wrong. (2/3)

I've reported the Heatmor and Liepard issues, didn't see those mentioned yet. The issues with Darmanitan, Inkay and Malamar are known, as are the missing animations. The team is badly in need of more animators, got a huge backlog of stuff that needs animations done. Some of that stuff will probably be trickling in in the upcoming updates. Stay tuned! (3/3)

We can't give you an estimate, it'll depend entirely on how fast the planned features come together and whether we find any nasty bugs or last-minute things that need to be changed. As for commands like /hatch -- get the PixelExtras sidemod from http://www.pixelmonmod.com/downloads.php and drop it into your "mods" folder by clicking Modpack Options > Open. Are you guys planning on adding new commands like /hatch? to pixelmon reforged to make like the normal pixelmon? and being able to spawn a pokemon with /pokespawn lvl??? (choosing a pokmon levels to spawn)

I feel like for a update you guys should add zygarde forms, black/white kyurem, and mega rayqyaza. When the original pixelmon came out with these i was happy now that its gone and we have reforged and it doesn't have these pokemon kinda make it a bit disappointing.

Not sure about Zygarde, but Mega Rayquaza has been teased for 6.3 (Discord, #mc-screenshots). I thiiiink Black/White Kyurem were being worked on too, but don't pin me on that. They're all definitely planned.

With that said, the project is mostly limited by a lack of animators (and to a lesser extent modelers) at the moment. If you have any skills with Blender or other relevant tools, help would be very welcome!

My last question: In this update are you going to add all the mega evolutions to the forms of kyurem and primal groudon, kyogre and will upgrade almost all square pokemons?

Primal Kyogre has been teased, not sure about Groudon but I'd imagine that will be in too. As for the Mega Evolutions and the blocky (Techne) models... I'm not sure, there. We'll probably have a few replaced, but not sure what the exact progress there is. Pretty sure that stuff is high priority, though, so stay tuned. :)

Which guide? For Technic, you shouldn't need to do anything other than installing the pack. Do you get any specific errors?

I have a problem once in the discord pixelmon said that xander was back with the mod, I was banned can I go back to discord? And one more thing the creator, what models he does not have, I have to 1 generation up to 7 generations?

What was your name on the Discord? I don't see a ban for your Technic name. As for the mod's current Pokémon, we have generations 1-6 right now. Generation 7 is coming at a later point, but there's a few things to finish up before then.

There's no set time for it, it will be out when it's done. The next version will most likely be 6.3, and bigger updates usually take a bit longer. Stay tuned! (and keep an eye on the Discord, stuff gets teased there occasionally)

The 6.2.3 update isnt working for me it crashes constantly and I dont know how to fix it what do i do? like, it will open up to a world once i made one, go to the copyright screen, then the game crashes.

Do you know how to access your log files? There might be a recent crash report there, and if not, fml-junk-earlystartup or latest might help. If you need further help with this, drop by the Discord (panel to the right of the comments here) and head to #general-support -- people should be able to have a look there, if anybody's around to check.

I keep getting an error when trying to make or load a singleplayer world "A fatal error has occurred, this connection is terminated", the only mod I have installed is Pixelmon reforged.

Downgrade your Forge, the latest builds currently break the mod. 2655 (Forge site recommended) should be safe, 2611 is what currently comes bundled in on Technic.

The Pixelmon Mod was updated to version Pixelmon 9.2.8
