ThaumTerra builds a realistic and brutal world of Fantasy. Magic, adventure, and more await. But It will not be easy, expect unfamiliar challenges and unknowable problems!

Unlike many 'difficult' modpacks, ThaumTerra isn't filled with tons of mobs, unbeatable bosses, or insane events with Dragons and Gorgons. ThaumnTerra focuses on more realistic difficulties, and then sprinkles in some fantasy and the occasional mythical beast. Expect to need to farm, build a good warm home, and need clean water. These may seem like simple issues that any Minecrafter could easily overcome. But, the game's core features have been changed in many portions. Caves aren't filled with ore, and crops aren't always harvestable. You won’t be able to just smelt ore in a furnace, ore use sticks and ingots to forge swords.

This difficulty is not just hard for hardship's sake. As you play you will learn to invent unique solutions to problems, and feel real accomplishment when you finally find a way to solve that one issue that has plagued you all game.

Progression, inventions, and overcoming odds are the themes of this modpack. You will start a caveman, and one day rule a kingdom and rule the elements with magic.
