This is a modpack that is designed to be lightweight, meaning it doesn't tank your fps upon loading. As such, this pack requires about 5 GB of RAM, despite most other 1.12 packs needing more to run smoothly.
Apart from optimizations made, this pack includes the ore generation that was seen in Big Dig. Also, some recipes are available that make certain items easier to obtain than in most other instances of modded minecraft.
The whole point of this pack is to have fun first and foremost, so the increased ore generation and recipes that make your life easier are a reflection of that.
