A little bit of this is confusing for me since I am (sadly) on a mac. I have downloaded the mods and have followed the steps- that being the install, run once, quit, then add mods. I do so and try running the game again, but it always quits out. I'm not sure if I just have too many mods or maybe it's an issue with my laptop but if there was anyway you could help, that would be great, thanks. :DD

You probably need to setup techniclauncher to use more memory.

Brilliant and stable empty modpack, only had to add the mods I wanted for a smooth, fully modded MC experience. My only complaint is that I had to update the Forge Multipart.

Have to admit I have no idea about forge multipart. Made this for my self in the beginning since I like trying out a bunch of mods and just thought easiest way was having it like this. Made it public because I guessed I wasn't the only one :) Since then I've switched jobs and worked to much for having time to do anything.
