Most of the mods will be the same, with only a very few additions (Opis and Admins commands toolbox)
A few features are currently missing (Redpowers transport system) but else most things are the same.
Some mods have chanced (Industrialcraft 2) but contains mostly the same features.
Some mods have been replaced with other mods that attempts to reproduce the same features (ProjectE instead of EE2 and ProjectRed instead of Redpower 2)
Redpower's frames has been replaced with Funky Locomotion
Computercraft has been replaced by OpenComputers due to compatibility.
Else you can do mostly the same things, and mods are actually being updated for 1.7.10, which means errors can be fixed. And should you want to add additional mods you can just drop them into the mods folder and they should work.
I have attempted to add most items to ProjectE's EMC list, which means cross mod interaction that way is far better. I have also fixed some of the horrible EMC loops that existed beforehand. blazerod -> macerator -> blaze powder -> condensor anyone?
