Absolutely, he's been incredibly helpful and friendly. Many thanks! I've tried to continue his example when he's gone by directing people in how to sell, use kit, and generally how to play like cooling down or heating up. Those are the most common questions.

Hmm, I'm not sure whether magic mods would fit the pack, but eh, you never know.
Yeah, I agree with salem, I think less is more in modpacks, and its nice to have a choerent group instead of as many mods all tumbled together.
server is being worked on and expect a new update to 7 DayZ to Mine in the process. ETA for downtime is 2-3 hours thank you! I think I fixed the problems people were having on MacOS so those people please cross your fingers :)

Keep getting failed to download, some config file. I have disabled Microsoft Security Essentials, added launcher as an exception to anti-virus and firewall. Still not working.
Failed to download http://files.minecraftforge.net/maven/com/typesafe/config/1.2.1/config-1.2.1.jar Please consult modpack author.

Just tried that and still getting the same error. I also got the same error for The 1.7 Pack. Its weird that I only get this error with certain modpacks, not all. Unfortunately, the ones I really want to play are the ones with these errors. So, I'm kinda stuck using ATLauncher and FTB for modpacks.
I think you're able to go to that link, and manually download it yourself, or if the link that you try to go to says something like its being blocked, then there's your problem. I know this happened to me on one of Glixyl's other packs before, and it turned out the actual Internet was blocking the download. And, of course, that was very easy to fix.
I submitted a ticket to technic support but no response yet. Going to the link directly I get a 401 request unauthorized error.
There is a small BETA (work in progress) server available. There are only 42 slots and please know that you are helping us test the multiplayer aspect of the game. The server is Anarchy Mode with PVP and raiding allowed to keep the server load understandable instead of cluttered with protections and claims; which would skew our testing results. We are working on new game modes and ideas, so please share your feedback on the Discuss page to make things better! Also we should have more servers online within the next few days that are hosted by others. More to come and thanks for trending this mod pack to the 5th most popular mod pack on Technic!

My one plea is no server reset lol. Or at least if there is one that the new server will be permanent. I love the mod and playing on it, but when servers change too often it feels like whatever work you do is in vain, so here's to hoping for some constancy.
so does this modpack not work on macbook airs?

I only have confirmations of players not being able to on MacBook Air. I know it works on MacBook pro and many other higher end Mac products. What I need is a crash report!

As everyone can see, the small server that I put online is full all of the time. It is my own small server, which is why it isn't a large one; however I am working with some volunteers who want to have their server in my server list as well as a professional hosting company to put both more servers and slots online. I really appreciate all the attention you have given 7 DayZ to Mine and let me know if anyone wants to host their own server and be put in the official server list within the client.

I can help you just go on overview on the modpack and copy the link at the top of your browser and paste it in technic launcher

hi i really want to play your mod pack but it keeps sending me back to the technic launcher every time i go to play it i have gone back to java 7 and i have tried to use the lite version i have even gone through the comments and tried some other options to try and get it working but nothing has so far i was wondering if you could help me?

Have you tried allocating more ram to technic launcher? It's possible that the pack starts to load all the mods and isn't given enough ram to load them all, so in turn crashes.

Alright, load up technic launcher, and in the top right hand corner, there's an option called "Launcher options" press that, and it'll bring up a menu. By default, you'll be on the "General settings" tab. Right next to where it says that, it says "Java Settings" click that. That'll bring up a tab that has a few selectable options. All you need to do is find where it says "Memory" and click that. Then, you have a list of your avaliable memory(RAM) you can allocate to the pack. By default, it's set to 1GB, just select one of them that has a higher number than 1. If there's any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. :)
I have tried all these and I still cant play. I already have the max amount for technic memory. Please help, I really want to play this modpack. It has a lot of my favorite mods in it.
Great work so far, i love the custom world gen you added! I do have two questions about it. I have found a walled town that has ghast spawners on the walls, I checked it out, and to dismay, there wasn't any loot in any of the chests. Is this intentional, a bug, or just part of the gen that you are working on? Also are there plans for any moderate-large scale cities that will spawn rarely? I was thinking it would be cool, maybe there are only three, and each one is on top of the stronghold, which can be morphed into a sewer like system.
Oh and the camping mod would work really well with this pack as it fits the outdoor survival feel perfectly.

Also having this problem, no loot in any chests!
It can happen for sure that no loot spawns. Working on the world generation to make it a little more subtle and a little more rich.. also to make single player a little more difficult. This mod pack became popular so fast that I have been reeling thanks for the feedback!
