Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (SarrumCraft TerraFirmaMine+) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select SarrumCraft TerraFirmaMine+ from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

Description:
TerraFirmaCraft, EnviroMine, and Weather2 are at the core of this modpack’s composition. TerraFirmaCraft for how it is a vanilla overhaul and the focus on how the player affects the environment. EnviroMine for the affects environment has on the player via temperature, sanity, and air levels. Finally Weather2 chosen for the “core mods” because... who doesn’t like tornadoes?

“85” mods loaded revolve around the core mods to create a difficult survival adventure. I used MineTweaker3+ModTweaker2 to rewrite recipes to create a sense or fluidity/harmony with the way TerraFirmaCraft works and blocks it introduces for Minecraft. Hopefully the recipe rewrites decrease the feeling of a hodgepodge random mess of mods that do not make sense together... which in my opinion is the downfall of a lot of packs.

Because this is focused on survival there will not be technology such as Rock Crushers or any power sources (steam). Railcraft and Flax Beard’s Wondrous Steam Power were added for a few key items, but technology and power were disabled.

***Because of the way Optifine and Fastcraft permissions/lincensing work they can not be put directly into the modpack. However, you can manually download and place them in the mods folder.***

Helpful hints/Changes/How to be successful

To get everything working many of the crafting recipes/names have been changed so NEI is your bff. Since TerraFirmaCraft has a thrist system hydration from EnviroMine has been disabled. EnviroMine does not recognize TerraFirmaCraft water even when you go in the configs and change the TerraFirmaCraft biomes to "salty/dirty/clean" water. Because of this I worked around it and made so that jugs, terra bottles, leather sacs reduce your temperature when you drink from them. The amount of temperature those items reduce when drinking will most likely be changed since I was not able to do much testing but I think it will be okay. "High Temperature Torches" (this is the original minecraft torches with a rename so it would not be confusing in NEI) burn longer and hotter so you should keep them away from wood. Remember certain items give off heat/remove air so be aware of this before you start placing all kinds of things down.

What I am working on...

Currently I am working on renaming vanilla foods and mobs since they spawn with dungeonpack/gravestone mod to make them less... out of place? Vanilla food since the new update of TerraFirmaCraft can be grown on TFC soil... they will play a part in my SarrumCraft Epic modpack which will be an expansion of this pack by adding tech and a bit of magic to the tfc landscape... when vanilla food decay fully it becomes rot which can be used to make vanilla dirt which is used for other mods such as forestry multiblock farms. Also vanilla pigs not tfc pigs work in Sync so I think it is best to have a way of knowing at first glance by name which are which. Atm I am thinking about going with "Diseased" in each name so that it makes sense why you can't eat the food that they produce. Also Seems I might have found away to make non tfc weapons and armors have tfc values although it is only possible if crafted and not cheated in.
