Install Luxus3

Step 1

Installing a modpack using the Technic Launcher is easy. If you don't already have the launcher downloaded, visit our download page to get the latest version.

Step 2

Type in the modpack name (Luxus3) or paste the following url into the search box.

Step 3

Finally, click Install at the bottom right of the launcher after you select Luxus3 from the list on the left. The launcher will handle everything else!

This modpack is based on Gregtech U 5.08.33 and AE2 and offer a pure (and long lasting) gregtech gameplay. I also added several other supporting mods.

Nearly all recipes has been changed to support a gregtech like crafting and using the same tech-like components. Some examples:

  • Redpower now uses gregtech red wires
  • AE2 recipes are using gregtech machine casings and tools
  • all forestry processing chains are ported to gregtech machines
  • netherstars are removed from all recipes and were replaced by tech components

Several NEW processing chains are added as well. Some examples:

  • Railcraft concrete is created from chlorine and gregtech concrete (no metals in concrete)
  • ethanol can be created from several alcohol drinks
  • more craftable alcohol drinks
  • oil and many useful byproducts from wood
  • IC2 Biomass can be created
  • new osmium source: Osmium can be centrifuged from platinum (~1 osmium per 72 platinum and 830 million. EU)
  • clay can be created from clay dust

Additional help, Some examples:

  • IC2 batteries and some machines have voltage tooltips just like gregtech batteries and machines
  • most non-craftable stuff is removed from NEI
  • gregtech-intuitive crafting for nearly all stuff
